I tried this not expecting much, but it works very well on spots left by my kitty who throws up a hairball on the beige carpet about once a month. I was nicely surprised to find that it does a great job, even if an accident has left a stain. I use it with a brush, but don't need to spend too much time on it. Then a damp cloth to blot, and it is good to go. It also doesn't seem to bother my cats, so not toxic for them. I gave four instead of five stars because I have not needed to use it on urine or kittypoo, (my girls are fastidious about using the catbox ), but I suspect it works as well for those.
