went together easy peasy. when attaching door lay it on the styro pad and slightly overlap it on corresponding side to align hinges. place the small peice of cardboard over the hinge will help protect the hinge when you tap it in. i also put a small shelf inside for fishfood.
Pros: easy to clean, sturdy, easy to install

This product was purchased with 2-day delivery and it arrived early. The instructions were rather simple but none of the wood pieces were labeled or represented so it was quite difficult to get one's bearings at first.
One of the wood panels was cut incorrectly so it doesn't aline with the rest of the piece. This was annoying but I let it go. The hinges do not screw in like they are represented to do in the instructions, and rather they have to be hit with a rubber mallet until they go in. When it came time to attach the door, the hinges didn't even line up!
I struggled and put off purchasing this for more than a year after getting the Aqueon 15 gallon Column aquarium because of its price. After receiving the product and viewing its quality firsthand, I am disgusted by how overpriced it is. It is a horribly binding situation because the aquarium is generally too heavy to be set on anything else.
On top of the other defects, the stand has dents and paint scratches all over. I would recommend avoiding this product for its unreasonably steep cost and lack of quality control.
Pros: easy to install
Cons: hard to clean, flimsy
