We thought the Biscuit Buddy would be a good alternative since we don't give rawhide treats or typical "bones" to our 8 lb PomChi because he's goes through them so fast. He's also very smart and has some other 'puzzle' type toys that he enjoys. There's no way he could've ever exerted enough pressure on the middle of the Biscuit Buddy to break the very dense 'sticks'. (I could barely break it in half!). However, we kept the toy because he does enjoy just chewing on the ends of the tube. The size is easy for him to handle. When he bites, the tough rubber gives under pressure, yet doesn't fall apart or even have teeth marks. So we just use it as a rubber chew toy without the biscuit sticks.

Pros: durable, easy to wash

Cons: didn't work

My terriers ripped the rubber basket to shreds in no time, which ruined the product. The cornstarch sticks that you put inside don't crack and crumble as they should, resulting in a soggy mess that sticks to their fur and everything else. Maybe putting in small milk bones would be better. This was a big waste of money for me. If your dog likes to rip (as opposed to crunch/chew) this is probably not the product for you.

Cons: easily destroyed
