I bought this coat in store for my older cold natured lab mix. I love everything about this coat except for the fit. When I went to the store to purchase this the only sizes that they had were XS, M, and X-L. The X-Large says that it is for dogs with a 20" back, so this is what I purchased. But when I got it home and put it on Daisey it looked more like a blanket than a coat. Now it would velcro and stay in place fairly well except around the neck which was too large, and the belly straps were so long that it just kind of hung there instead of "hugging" her body to keep her warm. Luckily I could do some minor adjustments to it with my sewing machine and a little extra velcro to make it fit.

I bought this coat in-store. It's very soft and very well made with 2 layers of fleece however the sizing is too broad. My cocker has a 16" back (a pretty standard size) and Martha's size med. is 13" while her size large is 17". A lot of companies offer a new size of coat with each additional 2" in length of back. I think Martha should do the same i.e. there should have been a 15" size. Therefore, I've only given the coat 4 stars. I've tried to shrink the 17" because it fits my dog more like a horse blanket than a coat but I guess polyester fleece doesn't shrink. I'll have to figure out some remodeling on the sewing machine myself--grrrrrrrrr. BTW, It did wash and dry well with no pilling or running of colours or puckering of seams even though I used hot water and a hot dryer.
