Fred and I love this stuff. It's great for both our asthma. The only problem I have with it is I can't find it in the stores anymore. I've switched to the Ultra version but like RR a lot more. I have used Presious Cat products since I brought Fred home and never had a litterbox problem.

I have tried many of the other brands. I found them to be either extremely dusty or somewhat dusty with no odor control. After my kitten developed asthma, I switched to respiratory relief. My cat-only vet also recommends this brand for all of her cat clients. This litter isn't completely dust free, but it is very close. I pour it in the litter box outside, which creates some dust, then drag it back inside. After this I really don't get any dust in the laundry room where I keep it. If you keep it very deep (4-6 inches) the cats can't dig all the way to the bottom, so no more scraping the pieces off the bottom of the pan. Also, keeping it deeper gives the cats plenty of litter to keep everything covered, which means absolutely no smell! The litter is larger grained than most brands, but my two cats don't mind. They do seem to kick it out of the box more frequently, but I just sweep it up. There is no dust tracked all over the house, but granules do make it into the hallway just outside of the laundry room. I emailed the company and found that the respiratory relief and the ultra are very similar. Both the same very low dust, med grain size and no perfume (just smells like clay). The RR has a stress reducer, apparently good for asthmatic cats, and the ultra doesn't. The ultra is quite a bit cheaper, so it may be the best for most people, but I will stick with the RR for my asthmatic cat. Go to the company's website and get a $1 off coupon. Then, every bag of litter comes with a coupon for more.

I can not say that this is entirely dust free - I'm not sure what the other reviewers are experiencing, but there is still dust, albeit not as bad as many other litters out there. That being said, I have never been happier with a litter for odor control! With two cats, and two boxes that are in the same small room! This is an unscented, clumping litter. It clumps like a master and takes care of all odors. Gone. I can suffer a little dust for this.

No Dust At All

When we first adopted our cat, I used only Precious Cat cat litter. To save some money I started buying a more inexpensive litter, mixing it with Precious Cat. I now notice my one cat sometimes has watery eyes and a raspy meow. Noticing the amount of litter dust around the litter box rim, I decided it was time to stop cutting corners for my cats' health. This litter is amazing. There is practically no dust and the clumping power is wonderful. I tried it in only one litter box to be sure it would be accepted, and that is the only litter box they're using right now. I will definitely be buying this litter from now on.

This litter is truly dust free. Also clumps very hard, so I can scoop out the waste and it is lasting a very long time between purges. I clean the box very often, but if something stays in there for a while I notice it is very odor eliminating. I love it and the cat loves it too. I wish I had switched from the other brand a long time ago.

I got this litter about a week ago. My cat is worried with allergy problems: wheezing, coughing, etc.
Since I started using the litter I see a big difference in her health problems! She seems much better!
Also I do not wake up in the morning and smell kitty litter odor! I think it is the best!!

WOW! It really IS dust-free!

NO DUST!!! Amazing! The other brands that say '99.9% dust-free' still produce a huge cloud of dust every time I pour the bag or clean the box. I had to wear a dust mask to clean the box, and our A/C kept getting clogged because of all the dust! Plus, one of my cats has asthma. Well I am VERY HAPPY with this litter! NO DUST!!! WOW!!! I'm sold!!!

I love this cat litter. It has almost no dust, unlike every other litter I've tried. My cats like it, it forms hard, easy to remove clumps, and controls odor better than any other litter. (and I've tried many)
