Clumps very well and tracking is similiar to many other litters of this nature. For the sale price of $12 for 40lbs it was worth a shot.
I did notice a very very VERY slight scent to this litter if I stuff my nose right up to it. Not even close to being overwhelming. I'm not sure if there was a bad batch or what but the one I bought has been great thus far (5/13).

No idea how they can call this unscented. It is one of the most heavily scented products on the market. Both myself and my cat hate it now.

Smells

We really dislike scented cat litter, and though the ExquisiCat box says it's fragrance free, it definitely has that horrible perfume!
Last year, we used another brand that had no warning on the box that it contained a fragrance, but like ExquisiCat, it did. All 4 of my cats had allergic reactions and two developed respiratory problems. Since then, we steer clear of scented litter. It's infuriating that this product's package is misleading. I won't buy it again.

I loved this brand for a long time, now suddenly every product I try is so dusty I can't even pour it into the litter box. I was sad to see this happen. It's bad enough that I will have to switch brands and return my unopened product.

Used to be, but now is NOT fragrance free!

This was supposed to be free of any fragrance, and when I bought it many times before, it was.
This last time, something went very wrong, and it smells VERY strong. It truly is overwhelming when the litter is in use, ie, the cats have urinated on it. It releases a strong perfume which fills the air of a 12 x 14 room where I have the boxes. I can't think of what could happen to make them put a strong fragrance in this, and it definitely is mislabeled. There is no toll free number on the box to call to let them know there is a problem!

I would recommend this litter if you're looking for a cheap price. Clumps well except for the occasional urine which becomes a wet clay. It is very dusty if you pour it into the litter box. But scooping it out is by far the better option to avoid an avalanche of dust when topping up your box.

I agree that something has changed recently with this product. The scented variety has an overwhelming scent, it used to be very subtle. Does not clump well anymore either, very difficult to scoop.
I have stopped buying it after using it for years.

Cheap but not the best

I buy this sometimes because its cheap but it doesn't clump well at all. When i scoop the "clumps" just break apart too easily and its hard to get out.. Better off dumping the whole litter box each clean.
My cat doesn't seem to care what litter i use for her so I use whatever is convenient to me.

I've been using this for 2 months now and it does well in clumping. Although every now and then the urine does get mushy, but no big deal. I have one cat and scoop twice a day, mostly after he uses the box so it doesn't smell in the room. I also wash the litter box once a week. I recommend using a domed litter box if you want to keep odors down. The 40lb box lasts me a month. Will continue this litter.

This is not the same great litter it used to be

I have been buying this litter for my cat who is healthy for over ten years, it was a great litter and the 40 pound box which used to come in a bucket lasted a month.
Now they changed it, it is not 40 pounds even though it says it is and it doesn't clump anymore instead it leaves a wet mushy clay and I scoop daily.
It does not last a month anymore, more like two weeks.
They definitely changed the formula for the worse and no way is it 40 pounds more like 20 pounds.
It used to be very heavy for me to lift now it's not and I'm not strong.
I'm looking for another unscented litter to buy because of this.
I suggest everyone who is unhappy with what they've done to this once great litter write a review about it. Then maybe we'll be heard and they'll change the litter back to what it was, great litter and literally 40 pounds.
Actually not buying this litter will get their attention, but please write a review too.
Hopefully they will listen and change the litter back to what it was, until they do I'll be buying other litter.

Litter is good but you'll use twice as much

September 23, 2012

I'm a long-time user of this brand of litter and my cats love it.
Until recently a 40-pound box would last for a month. Now I use TWO 40-pound boxes a month (same number of cats all in good health). Petsmart has said there has been no price increase in the product which is true but I'm spending twice as much, which from a consumer standpoint is a price increase.
Has anyone else noticed that the litter doesn't last as long as it used to? Petsmart will listen if folks having the same problem respond to this review.
Thanks.
