Imagine what a typical cow spends its days standing around in at the feedlot. These hooves have a foul barnyard odor and they stink to high heaven whenever they get moist (with dog slobber). If you have an outside dog then these will be fine. And let me tell you my dog loved the hoof and it seemed to last a while when nothing else did. If you want a long lasting chew I'd recommend the cow patella or humorous bones and I've even seen femur bones available. Deer antlers are now becoming available and are absolutely indestructible but expensive. All are less smelly than a hoof and last as long or longer. If you don't mind the stink or it won't be an issue then the hooves are great.

Pros: durable, dog loves it, taste

These are on the top of my list! I have a 115lb American Bulldog who can go through the largest rawhide bone in no time. I kept trying anything I could find that would last more than 20 minutes. I recommend these to anyone with a dog that loves to chew. My dog loves these and they last for weeks.

My French Bulldogs have very strong jaws and they cannot have regular bones since they splinter. The hoof treats are perfect! They don't splinter and in takes days for the dogs to "finish one off", The hoof has kept the dogs interested down to the last bit of the hoof.

Pros: durable, dog loves it, taste
