This scratch post is really not built to last. Over time the ropes on the posts began to unravel and slip down, kept together with cheap glue. Then the top hammock fell in as the other poster had mentioned and I pretty much got the exact same results of the photos.
This tower is also made of very cheap sisal, there were bits of sisal everywhere! I used to have another cat tower of better quality and the sisel also shed, but not as much as this one. I'd spend the extra dollars and get a better cat tower.

I bought this lounger for my 2 year old cat. It arrived with no assembly required. He loved it but I noticed that within the week, the sisal at the bottom came unraveled and unglued from the base. He slept in the hammock every day but that too started becoming unglued. Yesterday (a month after receiving the product) the hammock came apart from the top and now my cat no longer uses the lounger! Buyer beware!! This product was not made to last.

When we adopted our cat we bought this for her. She loves it. We have had the cat for 1-1/2 years now and she loves this now as much as the day we bought it. She always uses the posts to scratch and loves to relax in the hammock. I highly recommend this product.
