I have four dogs ranging 7 lb. to 138 lb. AND mostly carpet in the house. What can I say - there are accidents. My carpet is spotless because of this product. If the stain is fresh I clean up as much as I can and then drench the spot with this product. If the stain is dry I saturate the area with this. Sometimes I'll forget about it and check later after it is dry. The spots and odors are gone. Every once in a while I'll need to do a second application. Apply this stuff liberally. Trust me on this one!
