I have an over 15 lb cat. When traveling fairly recently I carried him in his previous carrier out to my car from a hotel and the bottom of carrier suddenly fell off and he fell out and ran across the parking lot! Initially, I thought that I simply hadn't secured the latches well, but I quickly found that the cheap latches on his previous carrier simply couldn't hold his weight. I even changed his carrier to his small brother's carrier and within a few trips it, too, had the latches giving way.
I bought this carrier and am very pleased. It doesn't come apart easily, but it isn't meant to. Once it is bolted together expect to leave it that way. The nuts and bolts are designed to keep the top and bottom together and secure; they are not designed to lift the top off routinely...or ever. This is a sturdy carrier that will hold your pet securely and safely; it will not break apart under the weight of a hefty cat.
And it has a very convenient top door that makes having the top unlatch from the bottom unnecessary. The two doors are incredibly convenient and easy to use. And, unlike most carriers, it is tall enough to allow a large cat to stand up fully, which is recommended by vets.
I would give it 5 stars if the handle was more formed for comfort. The handle is a bit narrow, so it digs into your hand quickly.

I bought this carrier when I got my Ragdoll/Himalayan kitten because I knew she may grow to be a large cat and I did not want to have to go out and get another carrier for when she was older. The top-door is super convenient - although - without it, I would I have to rate this carrier much lower. The front door is excruciatingly difficult to open! Maybe I'm just weak, but it hurts my fingers. I like the size of this carrier. It gives your cat space to move around.

My dog really loves this carrier. He uses it at home and while traveling. Both doors work very well and it seems to be constructed nicely. We also love that the color is something unique and pretty instead of the usual boring colors.

Love this crate! Having both a top and side door has been even handier than I anticipated. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. I picked this crate because it came with a detachable water bowl. Unfortunately, a crafty puppy wasted no time learning how to unhook it also. He was able to chew the plastic hook off and swallow it. He's fine but a water dish that is not chewable would be best.

The problem is it only comes in two sizes.. Super small or medium. I have a 5 lb Yorkie, who can barely turn around or stretch out in the small one and the only next size up is way too big. Seriously, these are probably made for little dogs, and there just aren't enough sizes. It will probably go back. Too bad.

I absolutely LOVE this carrier. I have a cat that is terrified of carriers and being able to get her in through the top loading door is very helpful on vet days. The woman from my vet even called it the Cadillac of cat carriers. Everyone compliments me on it and asks where I got it. Very VERY pleased with this purchase!

For Airline Travel-Buyer Beware

United Airlines does not accept these carriers. It indicates on the box that it is approved for airlines, which is why I bought it. I was terribly inconvenienced when I showed up for my flight and was turned away because the airline said they would not accept a pet carrier with a door on the top. They should not advertise this as being suitable for air travel when major airlines will not accept it. I read all the instructions for carrier requirements and there was no mention on the airline website about not accepting a top-loading door. Airline, manufacturer, retailer, or all three need change this to be more clear. This is a terribly stressful thing to happen when your'e traveling with pets!

Really like this carrier because of the multiple doors...one in front and one on the top. The top entry is great for taking my animals to the Vet and easily being able to get them out from the carrier. Appears to be a very sturdy carrier.

Love this carrier!very roomy and easy to put your cat into.I have a hymalayan and she is quite big,this has plenty of room for her and blanket...the only drawback is I wish it had wheels to pull it.

Bought this carrier for my 2 kittens. It is a great size, and both fit in it comfortably. I found it very easy to assemble, and quite sturdy when put together. Recently, I went on a long road trip and this carrier fit perfectly in the car, and didn't move with a seat-belt strapped around it.

I had a hatd time putting this product together. Other than that, it was sturdy, and my dogs felt safe enough to eat inside it, and that was enough for me.

I love the top and front door openings. I have an extra large maine coon mix and he hates being stuffed into a cage. The top allows easy access for him in and the front door out. Take apart and stores nicely too.

This is by far the best carrier for anyone shipping cats (in particular) by Air. Most carriers must be zip-tied to be sure they don't fall apart. The screw mechanism on this carrier is outstanding. The openings both in front (which hold food/water trays)...help to care for the pets. The top opening is perfect for use to put the pets in and to remove them as needed. Fantastic product...from a Siberian Breeder who ships cats routinely. :))

I LOVE the top door, as it makes it easy to get a rabbit out without having to disassemble the whole carrier. It's a lot faster to just reach in and pick him/her up than to disassemble a carrier or try to coax the rabbit out. Also, it makes it easy to use for multiple pets; you can reach in and pick up only one of them without the rest getting out and can put them in one at a time without worrying about the rest escaping during the process. (I've had to use it to hold eight baby rabbits while I was cleaning out their pen, and it was perfect.) It provides a lot of room for a rabbit (mine are average-sized: 5 pounds), though it would probably be too small for two adult rabbits to share.
I don't like the mechanism for assembling and disassembling the carrier though. Other carriers have simple handles that can be opened and closed easily when needed, but I wouldn't want to have to disassemble this carrier. It's not particularly complicated to do, but there are so many bits and pieces that are involved (which could get lost - though it comes with extras), and it takes a bit of time. Also, the little food & water dish that comes with it is useless. It didn't last even five minutes before my rabbit knocked it over in the car. It's really small and doesn't attach securely.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this carrier and would definitely recommend it to rabbit owners!

It was great for my 6 lb chihuahua/dachshund Candy, but when we were walking through the airport, the handle started to hurt my hand and the foamy handle cover tore off! Also the walk in gate was kind of painful to open because you had to squeeze really hard to push the handles down... :/

This carrier is great for my very large 1yr old cat! Space enough for a him, small cat bed, blankets and he can still move around comfortably. Sometimes i take off the front door and the cats will use it as a bed they love it so much. Top door is great for getting him out of the car without having to move the carrier. Easy to take apart and clean encase an accident happens or fur-balls! I absolutely love this and haven't found any cons yet.
Pros: comfortable, easy to assemble, easy to clean, sturdy

We bought this for our 6mo old kitten and he really loves being able to see around him. The top opening is also very convenient and its roomy for him too. We put a blanket(s) in there and he still has room to move around. I have yet to find any cons for this product so I would definitely recommend it.
