People have left bad reviews on vacation blocks saying that their fish "didn't like it" or similar things, slamming the product for their fish not eating it or still being there when they get back.

Sometimes fish just don't realize that vacation blocks are food. Obviously you should wait to see if your fish notices and eats from it before leaving on a week-long vacation.

With that said, my Betta loves these small, useful blocks and I never have to worry about him getting hungry while I'm gone. It does not cloud the water and it's easy to clean up with the gravel hose after coming home (you should not leave a vacation block just sit in your tank after you no longer need it).

I like the amount of blocks you get for the price and I will continue using them for as long as I have Bettas!

One more piece of advice: fish don't necessarily need to eat every single day. Most pet fish can go many days without food, so don't worry about them "starving" to death while you're gone for a few days! One small feeding once a day or every other day is just fine!

Didn't Work!

This did not work very well in my tank. I have a 2.5 gallon aquarium and I have a filter in there that provides good circulation. I went on vacation for a weekend and dropped one of these in for my betta to eat. Not only did my fish not touch it, but nothing happened! When I came back, my betta was STARVING and ate 20 PELLETS of omega one betta buffet pellets! I put a tablet in the tank after, thinking maybe something happened but my fish didn't care, but NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! If it was supposed to dissolve in water, it didn't! If it was supposed to catch my fish's attention, it didn't! and IF it was supposed to be a slow release feeder, NOTHING HAPPENED!!! This is a horrible product! The ingredients are NOT beneficial for a betta to eat and has less than adequate nutritional content! Next time I go on vacation, I am going to take my fish with me or get a feeder that will release my betta food into the tank at certain intervals throughout the day. Even though it was cheap, it was a WASTE OF MONEY and TIME and GAS!

I put this in my fish's tank when I went on vacation and I was scared that when I came back that they would be dead. But when I came back my fish ate it all and they were fine , better than fine!
