Top Paw Exercise Pen with Door - 36"

Keep your pet in a designated space without sacrificing your animal's room to move with this exercise pen. Ideal for a variety of pets, the pen can be set up in an octagon or square, or can be attached directly to a crate to provide extra space for your pet. A double latch on the door ensures that your pet stays inside until you let him or her out.

As a containment unit goes this product would work best for small breed dogs. I use it indoors to give my golden retriever puppy more room than a crate during potty training. Setup is super simple as it is pre-assembled and four clips are provided to attach one end to the other or (as I have done) attach to the crate for a little more space. It is heavy enough that he can't knock it over and only jostles a bit on tile floor (22lbs at the moment, but remember it's attached to a large crate) and as stated above, the corner braces are useless unless it is in the specific design configuration.
Pros: easy to assemble, sturdy

We bought this product last week for our new goldendoodle (8 weeks old). The quality of the product is poor. The "stabilizers" pop off if the animal jumps up or pushes the pen in any way. Once the stabilizers are gone, the pen loses its configuration and the metal scratches your hard wood floors.
I have rarely left the puppy awake and unattended in this pen. Maybe 20 minutes maximum in the last week. My floors are significantly scratched in about an 8 square foot area. I would not recommend this product for a new puppy that is active and hyper (like most puppies!)

Great for rabbits; bar spacing could be an issue

I just bought this for my rabbit who has a litter of 1-month-old babies. The previous pen they were in was getting too small for them, and the babies LOVED the extra space. They immediately started zooming around and binkying like crazy! Unfortunately, it only took them a few seconds to figure out that they could squeeze through the bars! I cut up a cardboard box and tied the cardboard to the bottom of the panels with wire ties, which worked great. My adult bun can't get through the bars, just the babies, so this would just be of concern to people who have baby rabbits or other small pets like hamsters.
The door is perfect because only part of the panel opens up and not the whole thing, so I can easily step in if I need to without any bunnies jumping out. The way the door latches is also better than with my other pen, where you have to lift the whole panel to get the metal hooks out of the holes. It's very easy to open!
I really don't like the corner stabilizers, as they seem to have a poor design. When you're first trying to put them on, it seems like as soon as you get one of them on another one snaps off and has to be re-installed. When you have all of them on, they don't really look that stable for parts that are supposed to be stabilizing the whole pen. I think they would work OK with a square or rectangular configuration, but they're not great with the octagonal configuration, which is the one I'm using (as it provides the most space). Also, you can only install the corner stabilizers when both panels that will form the 'corner' are completely straight, which seems silly. If they're not completely straight, it's tricky to get them on, and I narrowly avoided getting a bruise a couple of times. Other than that, installation was really simple and could even be figured out without the instructions. (I'm not sure why some people have been commenting that it's difficult.)
I would have liked for the panels to be a little lower in height so that I can easily reach in, but I do know there's another model that's only 24" high. However, my other pen is 29" high, and my other adult rabbit can jump out of that by jumping from the top of her hideaway. (I just put a bed sheet over the top and secure it with binder clips - problem solved!)
It would be nice if there was some kind of water-proof floor mat that was sold as an optional accessory to go with the pen, because I have the pen indoors on carpeted flooring. I ended up using a thick, clear plastic table cloth with a flat bed sheet on top (the kind without the elastic). This is working well so far, but the bed sheet will require regular changing & washing. Also, more destructive rabbits could easily make holes in the sheet and possibly even the plastic. I definitely know my other adult rabbit would! I'm lucky that the mother rabbit isn't very destructive and the babies aren't quite able to cause that much damage yet!
Overall, this is a great product, and I'm really glad that I bought it. It looks like it's sturdy enough to last for years and years.

With nine 3 week old med breed puppies I had to find something in store fast. I assumed the price meant quality. My 3 week old puppies move it all over the place and I have only let their mother in with them once. Just her laying down against one wall almost made the entire pen come with her. The stabilizers were a disappointment. We used heavy boxes to keep this pen from roaming our house or falling down and we don't let the mother in anymore.
I am hopeful of it's performance outside where the ground anchors can be used. Until then I'm looking for a replacement indoors. It is easy to clean and basically comes assembled which is great in a pinch, but I'm looking for a plan B right now.

I bought this product for a litter of 9 large breed puppies that my dog had. I needed something with high walls because they figured out how to jump out of the little pen I made with dorm room shelves. Worked out beautifully. The stabilizers are useless though. They fall off very easily. Love the fact that it attaches to a crate. Haven't tried to do that yet.
