Very good for tough chewers

This toy is great, it keeps my dog entertained and stands up to her tough chewing. The only improvement I would make it to have the edible part be a little tougher or fit in a little better because mine figures it out and eats it pretty quickly. It is definitely a keeper though!

I bought two of these more than 2 years ago, thinking that they would be like many of the other toys and last a few weeks. Now, I keep one at home and one at my office for my dog to play with wherever he is. They both are worn, but they are the same size as when I bought them. I'd buy more, but I don't have to.

Best for a german shepherd who eats everything

My german shepherd can get just about every treat out of anything. This is the one that lasts the longest. It's not that long, but it's awhile. Certainly my favorite. His, too. My complaints are the treats are very difficult to refill, and Petsmart often is out of the refills. But great toy!

Great--At First; Then, what's the trick???

My Lab/Akita mix (who happens to be a Diabetic Alert Dog) absolutely LOVES this treat and everything else that Nylabone makes! However, his Mom (me) gets really disturbed when trying to refill it with treat sticks. I cannot get them lodged in to where it takes Ben more than five minutes to pop them out and eat them. That's an expensive five minutes! Surely, there is an instruction sheet somewhere that divulges the secret of filling them! Please make it available SOON!

Great (for the first 3 hours)

On Christmas, we gave our lab/shep mix, rot/shep mix, and collie mix an out of package Romp n Chomp. They loved it!! We loved it!! It's well past re-fill time, and we decided to pull out the bones for a nice Sunday Morning treat. The refills are heart shaped (<3) First we put the "3" side down, then we put the "<" side down, then we tried to slide and push, then we tried to hammer the refill with the rolling pin, finally we dropped the bones on the floor and handed each dog a refill piece. I know the treat has to be securely in place, but making it nearly impossible to insert the refill is doing no one a bit of good.

My dog loves it, he'll chew on it for hours, even after he's gotten the treat out. The major problem with this item is that it is EXTREMELY difficult to put new treats into it. They do stay in pretty well once you get them in though, and they last my extremely chewy large dog for a while. But it takes time and a lot of effort to get them in. I have had to use things such as hammers to refill it correctly.

A good start but hard to refill

This is a great toy/treat outta the package. Lasts for a very long time and my dog is a heavy chewer. The problem comes when the inside treat is gone and you need to refill it. The refill twists as it is inserted. I have used a hammer (tends to break) and a bench vise (not too bad but sorta smashes it in). This shouldn't be that hard to insert should it??? I think the tolerances on the two are a bit off. Still it's the best I have found for a beast who chews a regular nylabone down in 2-3 days.

I bought two and a double pack of refills and they were both ruined the first time out (that's about a $46 treat) Full disclosure -- I have two Labs but I got the large size. Nylabone offered to take them back, but that involves packing them up, going to the post office, paying for shipping, etc.

This bone is a gift from the gods! Our german shep/ harrier is a beast. He destroys almost every toy we give him. Treats are gone in the blink of an eye. This bone kept him busy for hours. Even after he got the treat out he was rolling around with it! Just make sure the treat is in tight, then it's silence for a happy human :) Thank you Nylabone!!!!!

surprisingly long lasting

I bought this for my 60pound female pit bull. She has about every nylabone product under the sun since those and antlers are about the only things she can't chew through, but I thought she would just get the treat out and be done with it in 10 minutes. The treat stays in very well and the more they chew on it the more molded into the bone the treat gets she's been at it for about 2 hours now. The trick is to make sure the treat stick is in tight before you give it to them, great way to keep your dog occupied! 5 stars
