I just bought the large version of this toy at my local Petsmart. My pit bull puppy eats the wood underneath my bed, so I figured he would love this. He loves it alright, he is devouring it. I don't think it will last very long, and I feel like I need to watch him closely so he does not swallow any pieces. Wow, I really wish I could get my money back for this.

I have a small jack russell/chihuahua mix. She likes to chew on bones occasionally, but is not a big chewer at all. In under 5 minutes the smaller end was destroyed. I noticed pieces of the toy all over, and she was eating some of them. I had to throw it out. I hate throwing away money; so many of these toys labeled "durable" are pieces of junk.

We have struggled to find a chew toy that my Wiemaranar cannot eat. Everything that say either "indistructable" or "durable" just does not have my dog in mind.
He loves the stick and cannot stop chewing it.
However, based on the instructions, it says it is not for consumption and he is definitely consuming this stick.
Sorry, another toy in the garbage.

We have a mini dachshund and powerful chewer lab. They both got one of these, and besides the ends of it that was able to be chewed it has lasted. Now with a powerful chewer it does not last as long, but it was not destroyed in a day like some products.

One of our dogs is new to the family and he is definitely a "chewer". Gandalf absolutely loves this toy! He carries it all around the house with him wherever he goes. It does fray a bit but I have not seen any pieces come off. And he really seems to enjoy the new texture as he chews it more and more. If you have a dog that likes to chew a lot absolutely get several of these!

I gave this to my dog and he would not put it down. He would chew on this for hours and when I would put it up to get him to try other chew toys he would hunt for his stick. I would recommend this product.

My dogs are active chewers, but lost interest in this item within a short time of playing with it. I thought they would like it because they chew on sticks in the backyard. Maybe it was the thickness of the toy. Most other toys they shread to pieces.

Purchased the largest size for our great dane that loves to carry around and chew sticks outside. Obviously I wanted a better, safer option for her to chew on and the Petstages Durable Stick has been great! She loves to chew on it and hasn't made much of a dent in it. It's holding up to a 120 lb great dane's jaws and that is impressive. It's very hard for us to find durable, long lasting chews for our danes and we're pleased with this one. Will buy more in the future.

I have a 11 month old dachshund puppy. My dog has no interest in this toy. Have had this over 6 months. He normally chews and destroys toys in a week or two but doesn't touch this one.

My Lab's ultimate goal in life seems to be eat tree bark off the tree and bring in as much of it as he can. Oh, and any twigs that fall off the tree are fair game as well. I've found that this a pretty good alternative to his stick chomping. It seems pretty "woody" and he loves sucking and chewing it! It does leave some shaving, but I don't mind, we own a vaccuum! He loved it so much that I even bought him the largest size for Christmas (he's 10 months old).

None of my dogs had much interest in this toy (compared to other toys)- And when they did chew on it, they got pieces off of it- it is not that durable. If you have a strong chewer- beware!

I was not happy with this product as my 8 month old Jack Russell mix was able to chew pieces off. She loves to chew sticks and mulch outside and I wanted to get something that she could chew on inside. She has gone through many toys and I thought this one would be durable and great since she likes sticks. Well that did not work so it was a waste of money for me. Just bought it a couple of days ago.

My 6-month old bulldog puppy is picky when it comes to bones. He will chew antlers (expensive) and bully sticks (gross) but other than that I have a basket full of nylabones, kongs, and similar products which he won't touch. I happened to see this bone on my way out of the store. Wow am I glad I got it...he loves it! It must be the wood smell or taste as he loves to chew on sticks outside. So far it seems very durable as well. I would say to try this out if your dog likes to chew and carry sticks outside.

I bought one of these for my 3 month old Yellow Lab, who loves to chew sticks outside. I had to buy a second one because my 6 yr old Doberman who doesn't like to chew anything but rawhides started stealing it. It's so far been very durable, they haven't been able to bite any chucks off, it just frays a little bit- almost comparable to a nyla bone & it occupies my dogs for quite some time.
