I got one of these for my rats. I loved it because a) there is no plastic for them to chew on and then give them obstructions b)after they rip it and chew it to shreds, they can use it as nesting material c)it's completely safe for them to chew on, right down to the wooden hook at the top d) it doesn't have a bell; bells are really annoying because even though our pets love them, when you live in a dorm room with your pets, the last thing you need is your neighbor barging in and complaining about your rat ringing its bell. My rats are fascinated by it and have been slowly discovering how it works and pulling off pieces that they run triumphantly back to their nest to place strategically.
