I recommend buying a different brand of magnetic cleaner. This one works well, but it is quite heavy and the magnetic hold is not as good as some of the others that I have used. Furthermore, my tank was a little dirty and I used this and you can literally see the bristle lines on the tank of where it actually cleaned and where it did not. I bought this and don't feel like wasting the money on another so I use a paper towel and wipe down the inner glass of my tank. This works much better than this magnetic "cleaner".

Cons: price, didn't work, hard to use

I just purchased the Top Fin Magnet cleaner last week. First of all, the cleaning surface is hard (like the hard plastic side of the that velcro material they use to hold your i-Pass car toll reader on the windshield), so I would be worried it would scratch the inside of my tank. Secondly, the magnets are so weak, they kept falling apart and even when the inside magnet was laying on the tank bottom right next to the glass, the outside magnet was too weak to attract it again without me sticking my arm inside the tank and putting them together myself. If I'd wanted to to keep sticking my arms inside the tank, I would have purchased a scrubber sponge cleaner and cleaned it manually by hand.
In summary, this product was totally unusable and I wouldn't waste your money on it. I have magnet cleaners of another brand (not sure which off the top of my head) that actually work well and have strong enough magnets and superior cleaning material for inside the tank, so try something else...

This is by far the best magnetic tank cleaner I've found. This one has a better hold on the glass so normally one swipe will get all the gunk off. This one might cost just a bit more but trust me - you get what you pay for. It holds onto the other magnet much better so you don't have to worry about it loosening it's grip and floating off in tankland. It is also much easier to clean and wash up. If you are looking for a magnetic cleaner to have around for more than just a couple of uses, I'd say go ahead and buy this one since you will get more than your money's worth.
