This cage is great! I got a chinese dwarf hamster and she loves it! the wheel is perfect height for her. It's not too big but perfect for little hamsters, if you keep your hamster in the cage all day it's not very good but whenever she's up i hold her and put her in a ball so she's not cramped and its great

I have several mice and own/use many larger Crittertrail components. I'm proficient in assembling, disassembling, cleaning, so no excuses there... I purchased this small unit as a "hospital" for an ill mouse needing some quiet and rest. It looks like the other pet homes I have, but the similarity ends there. It has numerous cheap plastic pieces required to assemble FAR too many components for a cage this size. The plastic pieces are nearly impossible to snap together, yet ironically they come apart later with the slightest touch. I have not been able to clean this thing without it pretty much disintegrating in my hands. Really a piece of garbage.

I was sold this cage for a SYRIAN HAMSTER... This is way too small for even smaller hamsters! When the wheel is in place, along with a small food bowl and hut, there is only a few inches of floor space for your pet! Even with attachments, it is cramped, and my Syrian Snickers was miserable from day one. Even my mothers' Robo Hamsters were miserable from lack of room to run and stretch their legs! I would not force any creature into such a small enclosure! Do not buy it just because it is cheap! Think of your pet's comfort over your wallet!

If you are planning on keeping a hamster in here get an add on. I add it to my crittertrail 2 level cage. comes with cage, water bottle, wheel, and two bubble plugs so u can add on

This cage is awesome! It allows you to add SO MUCH more to your cage!!! Except i'd recommend changing the wheel and the water bottle though! The water bottle didnt leak, but my hamster couldn't get water out've it! And the wheel is VERY squeaky, and eventually was stuck! Those are the only two down falls, but everything else about it was GREAT!! You can add so much more enrichment with this, and my hamster is WAY more active now! If you ever want to see your hamster at day time, then get this cage, stat!!! And, it's SUPER easy to put together!

I bought this cage yesterday and love it!
it has an easy to assemble wheel, water bottle, and inside. It was hard to assemble at first but then I got the hang of it. The wheel doesn't squeek { big pro!} and it has plenty of places for fun extenders. It comes with the exercising wheel, the water bottle, and a spring to keep the door shut. Over all GREAt Product!!
