I had so many problems with this tank. I loved that you could plug it in to the outlet or the computer via USB for the lights.... but for the price you could get a better quality tank! It comes with ZERO decor, has no filter, it is a nice halfmoon style though but the acrylic is THIN!!! I had to exchange mine out 3 times due to cracks in the tank. It's definitely very poor quality.... and the PetsMart manager decided to go ahead and price match a different tank all together for me. What a shame, because I really wanted that halfmoon style!

I was looking to get a fish tank which is low maintenance and easy to operate for my 1 year old. I found this tank which met my requirement. I had it for 2 months now. The only drawback is batteries last for not more than 10 days with minimal usage (1-2 hours daily use). There is USB port in it but I am not sure how to use it with the power outlet as most of the USB power outlets are for cell phones etc which has different port on the other side. I would appreciate if anyone can explain how to use it.

I bought one of these little tanks for my betta fish recently and it is beautiful! It comes in such a pretty design, and it has a fair amout of room for my betta to swim around in. The only one negative that i can think of is that the light for the tank is quite hard on batteries. For a while i was changing all three AA batteries every week because they would burn out quickly. However, i discovered an awesome little micro USB port which i use instead now to help me save on batteries.

The tank itself is somewhat descent but the halfmoon shape makes it hard to really use. Not to mention it has my halfmoon Betta seeing his reflection in the corners do to light refraction (reflections). Not good.

Do your fish a favor. Petsmart also sells a 2.5 gallon rectangular tank for literally the same price. This one doesn't fit my betta's log in but a $5 critter tote does.

i love this fish bowl. i bought this 1.1 gallon bowl because my fish had skin rot so i out him in there and he loves (at least i think) plus the LED light looks great and makes your Betta fish really stand out. i highly recommend this product

I just got this today for my betta and I love the look of it! It only cost me $15. There is a hole in the lid so I could put in a heater eventually. I decided to get gravel and keep the light at the top. I also cut out a piece of black construction paper and taped it on the back, it looks cool! You can easily fit a few plants or a decoration and one plant. I also bought some clear gems so I might try them out with the light on the bottom eventually.

I put a picture with the tank next to a standard red party cup so it's easier to tell the size.

Beautiful affordable tank!
Pros: LED lights can be placed under or over tank. Black base stays in place. Separate crescent shaped light panel slides in behind base or sits on top. We used AA batteries (3) (or you can plug into USB power source using your own cable.) There is a small switch located in the back of the light panel, which in an enclosed shelf will work better if lights are on top.

Cons: Feeding hole is a fairly large opening that can not be closed so beware if you have cats. If you must have lit from bottom, switch is hard to get at. Still, deserves 5 stars.

I love this tank so much I have 3. Super looking, can fit most small decorations, and the micro USB port allows me to save on batteries. I can actually use my cell phone charger to power the LEDs.

I really want a huge aquarium, however, after reading the reviews and seeing the photos I went to the store and purchased this. I've ordered the heater and a "small log" decoration.

This is a easy to put together, the option of the led light for the top or bottom with 3AA batteries is awesome. My betta is already eating and seems quite happy!

This is a nice tank for a betta. The shape and 1 gallon capacity provides a decent amount of swim room. Just be careful not to overcrowd the tank with decorations. The flat back allowed me to install a betta bed leaf hammock. The curved front looks very sleek. My betta seems content in his new home. The light is very bright, so I have it on the bottom where the rocks dim it a bit (I don't want it to bother the betta). On the bottom, the light makes the rocks actually look like they glow. The feeding hole is convenient, but it's a bit wide. I hope he can't jump out of it. There is also a small hole in the back corner of the lid that you can run airline tubing or a cord through (like for a mini heater). I don't use a heater. My home is ~72-74 degrees, and the tank thermometer (bought separetly) seems to read 1 degree above my room thermometer, which is okay for the fish. My only complaint is that the tank is thin plastic and scratches easily, but that's to be expected with these cheaper tanks. I was looking for something easy and didn't want to spend too much money. Overall, I'm pleased. I purchased inexpensive plants and "gems" for substrate, also from Petsmart. (You have to click the pictures to see everything properly.)

Overall this product is pretty good. I bought this for my male betta. I hesitated while online but once I was in the store it looked good. Not to plastic looking, has an airline tube hole, easy to set up, and looks good. Kinda small once you get a couple plants and air line in though. Also, the top part of the tank without water and the lid fog up but hopefully that will change once I get the small betta heater to put in. By the way, the lid is clear so you don't have to have the black "light holder" on top if you don't want to. You can have it on the bottom.
