I have three cats. I bought the Genie after trying other odor products. This Genie works wonderful and its easy to use. It takes care of all odors. I did see this before and didn't think it would work. I should of bought this at that time. GREAT PRODUCT!

We have 3 adult cats. Bought this in in early December 2012. Within 24 hours I knew I loved it. No longer have any litterbox odor. Have never had to completely change the litter, just add litter when the level gets low. I love the refills, but I have also used 18 gallon continuous roll trash bags with empty refill unit which works but is a little harder to set up. Less expensive however. Check the video on U-tube and a lady shows you how to do it and she has 8 cats. One of the refill bags lasts a week exactly for our 3 cats. I will never give this up. Have no problems with the unit as other have mentioned.

This product WILL lock in odor.

I tried not to buy this product. I didn't like the price of the Genie, or the refills. I figured a small trash bin with a lid would work just fine for my cat's business, and the odor wouldn't be an issue. Obviously I was wrong, and I gave in and bought the Litter Genie. While changing out the bag isn't as quick and easy as it was with the mini trash bin I was using, this product certainly does lock away the odor. I am impressed. Also, since I only have one cat, I don't have to empty this as often as I was with my little bin. The Genie surprisingly holds a lot more waste than I thought it would. I am giving it only four stars because changing out the bag in the Genie isn't as quick and easy as I would like, neither is the cost of this and it's refills.

My husband and I were a little hesitant at first about buying the litter genie, but im so glad we did, we have two cats and can now scoop daily without having to keep wasting bags, we have had it for about a week and have only used one bag. Very satisfied with the product.

Great for Owners of 1-2 Cats

I have 5 cats and was always using grocery store bags to scoop and was very excited to get my Litter Genie. Initially putting the 'bags' in the 1st time was a bit tricky since it's such a tight fit I was afraid I was forcing too hard and could break something. Once I began to use it I was pleased, the scoop that comes with it has large openings and if a clump fell apart small pieces would stay in the box. I was very shocked when my bags ran out after only 5 days, and the next refill lasted about a week. Overall it's a handy product if you have 1-2 cats, I used my old scoop and right now due to the price of the refills it's just taking up space, I may give it to a relative.

I really didn't think this product would work....but it does. I have five cats and need to change it weekly....I will be ordering another one or possibly two. It's so easy to use and there's literally no smell.....amazing product....I Love It!!!!!

Expensive product not worth the money

I prefer an enviromentally freindly little disposal system, not one with expensive refills you have to purchase for this type of pail. Can someone design a system that is paper or something more enviromentally freindly.. I would buy it.

No one enjoys cleaning the litter box, but with the Litter Genie I almost do! I can scoop anytime I walk by and see anything in the litter and not have to worry about grabbing a sack to put it in and running it outside to the garbage so that it doesn't stink up the whole house. The Litter Genie is also easy to change. I've had it for about a month now and really am glad I purchased it!

LOVE this product

I have had this product for about 7 months and just love it. I have 2 cats and have to clean the litter box every day. It is easy to put together and easy to put a refill in. Since we started using this product we don't have to put litter into plastic bags and stink up the entire house. This product is very sanitary and there is no more smell. I just Love this product.

Amazing!

I am the Mama of three cats.... We currently have two litter boxes set up in our spare bathroom. We were using the toilet to dispose of their waste, but we will be moving in the next couple of months....so in the new house I wanted a different set up. Once we are in the new house their litter boxes will be in our laundry room, so when I saw this pail hit the market I KNEW I had to have it! (We have the Diaper Genies for our daughters! We love it) I bought this pail in Mid-December 2012 and we are still using the first refill! I currently clean out the pail on Sundays, so once a week.
Not only am I happy because the Litter Genie has greatly simplified my litter-cleaning experience, but my cats seem happier... Sounds lame, I know, but really! Also, my one cat is of the prissy sort -- he would go to bathroom in our shower (gross I know) but he quit using the shower because the litter boxes are now in better condition and odor free! I am amazed that he is using the litter box again...I was worried it was a habit I couldn't break of my cat.
To the reviewers who had issues with the scoop -- I haven't yet, but I went ahead and bought a 3-pack of Litter Genie refills and to my surprise it came with a new scoop and the side container. I think that the scoop and it's container isn't meant to be used indefinitely and can be switched out whenever you buy a new 3-pack of refills :) I hope my review has been helpful!

I highly recommend the Litter Genie. I was very skeptical at first, but after some coaxing from my sisters I decided to give it a try. It's definitely a great investment. When you scoop the dirty litter and drop it in the Genie, there is literally no smell whatsoever! This product has left both me and my kitty happy!

This product works great...but extremely hard to put together...instructions aren't very good. I broke the first one trying to put it together. Associate at the store had to show me how. I would recommend this to anyone but have an associate guide you through the instructions.
But after all...I am very satisfied!

This product is easy to use and looks good. We have five cats right now so it does fill up fast. We have two litterboxes that we scoop into it, so we will be buying a second one. It works better than i thought. Its very easy to use. All you do is open the lid scoop into it then close the lid and pull the tab and everything falls to the lower compartment. when it is filled you lift the top and cut the bag with the bag cutter inside. the bag was a bit different than i had expected you have to tie it shut. I was thinking it was individual bags, but it is one big long plastic tube. It is easy to use and if you have to scoop often like we do its very convenient to have it sitting beside the litterbox rather than having to get a bag every time you scoop.

Genie Litter Box

I love the genie litter box. I have 6 cats. I usually had to take out the litter every other day to the garbage, now it is only about 2 to 3 times a week. The only problem I have with it is the lid. It comes off to easy and you can't put it back on again. I am on my second one because the lid came off. I will soon be on my third one because the lid came off today on it.

Smelly Cat, No longer!

We had an issue with no where to put our cat's litter box but in our bedroom! WHAT A STINK!! Even with it "confined" the smell would travel through the house and it was terrible. The Litter Genie has been a major blessing! It is easy to use, easy to change and it actually seals the smell away! If you can scoop the mess as soon as kitty is finished making it you won't smell a thing!
We have had the Genie for a month now and have only had to change it once and that is with frequent scooping! FANTASTIC!!! Thanks for such an amazing product!

Simple yet great product

I love ths product, no more looking around the house for bags to put the litter in, no more ripped, leaking bags so no more extra cleanup or smell.
I must admit I had trouble getting the first bag out and ended up pulling too much and could not get it stored back in. So I just tied the bag as instructed and tucked the extra bag inside. Because the first bag was too long, i did have to adjust halfway thru filling it up. But it all worked out.
The cutter worked well, and I got the correct amount of bag pulled out the 2nd time.
The bags are strong, so no smell or leaking.
The Genie sits near the litter box and because of the ease of use, I clean the litter box twice instead of once a day.
I would buy it again
