CaribSea Glow-in-the-Dark Coral Rock is fossilized and coated with an aquarium safe, glow-in-the-dark coating. The natural coral structure is beautiful when the lights are on, and when the lights go out, a soft glow begins (duration of glow will vary). To recharge, simply turn the lights on again. A great addition for reptile enclosures, too!

I purchased this glow in the dark baserock by accident, but liked the shape of the piece so much I added it to my marine tank anyway. It's good quality rock, is growing algae normally (despite the glow aspect of it) and is pretty funny looking when the lights go out and all you can see is a glowing green rock in the dark! The glow lasts about 20 minutes for me and quickly recharges if the lights are turned back on for a few minutes.
