Well i have a cat that has been with me since she was around 2 or 3 weeks old, her mom left her in my house so i took care of her and stuff... but i don't know why she has been really agresive to new people or sometimes even to my husband and I! i saw this product and by reading the reviews i said ''ok! Let's give it a try'' i was reading how this works and it says that it has a pheromone similar to the one that the cat's mom used to have when giving birth and taking care of the kitties so i was a little afraid that it just didnt work but i gave it a try, so... i put the necklace on my kitty and waited for two days but nothing happened :( so i asker the vet and she told me that it was because my kitty was too young when she was separated from her mother so it just didn't work on her
the thing is that please before trying it, be sure your cat has been with its mom otherwise it won't work at all, i tried it with another cat that is also a little bit agressive and worked perfectly! so yes i guess the reason was the one i said before

one of our cats has been going to the bathroom in the house and though we have 3 boxes, this is the only thing that has somewhat worked. my only complaint is that it seems most of the powder comes off getting it on the cat. but she doesn't seem to mind it much and it does seem to last.

I bought this for my 5 year old cat whom has OCD. She licks all of the hair off of about half her body. She was really getting bald when we starting using these collars. She still licks some, but most of her hair is coming in nicely. She seems like a new kitty! Thanks for the great product!

I have two males who are battling for alpha-dom. I tried this on the younger one and it didn't help, so I tried it on the older one. Things have tapered down, but I can't say it's all because of the collar, as there are other factors involved. Since my older one tolerated it well, I might try putting one on each of them and see how that works.

I work with animal rescue and deal with many different cat personality etc. I had brought home 2 older cats that were 9 yrs old and were never around other pets. They were very stressed out in there environment with my own cats. I purchased the calming collars and it was a complete transformation that evening. It has been peaceful and there has been no fighting or hissing. I believe in this product and the other sentry prodocts that are offered. It really does work!!!!

Over the last few years, my 19 year old cat started meowing. A Lot!! She would walk over to her dish even though she had just eaten and meow. Over and over again. She only will drink water out of the faucet and she would sit in the bathroom and meow. Over and over. Day and night! Its been like having a baby in the house. I put the collar on her last night and she slept like a kitten. No meowing. She is much more mellow. She only goes to her dish now if she's really hungry and just gives a soft little meow. I love this collar!

We have a 17 y/o cat with "intermittent dementia" who started crying every morning around 6am about a year ago. She would walk in the room and wail until one of us got up and put her on the bed with us. No amount of coaxing would get her to jump up on her own (which she does at all other times of the day). The crying kept getting louder and more distressed and finally I found the calming collar and figured it was worth a shot. The very next morning she walks in and jumps up without a fuss and goes right to sleep at the foot of the bed! It works like a charm. I'd say the lifespan is more like 2-3 weeks instead of a month, but it really does work. Would absolutely recommend this product.

I read the reviews on this collar before buying, so I was aware of the "powder" coating mess beforehand (thanks to the review that posted that!). My female calico and I just relocated to a totally new environment, and though she's been around a very calm dog before, the dog we moved in with is part terrier and can be rambunctious! So, I thought after a little while here, I'd treat my girl to some pheromone therapy. She's not used to having a collar on (being an indoor kitten), so it took some adjusting on her end to get used to having on her new "necklace", but after maybe 10 mins, Norah Marie was prancing around and purring like she'd never done before! It's been about four hours with the collar, and she's been snoozing happily with me. I'm totally stoked about this collar!

I purchased the collar out of total desperation and was very skeptical it would work. My 4 year old female was constantly crying/yowling/ peeing/vomiting/scratching. After many trips to the vet where they could not find anything wrong with her (never mentioned stress). The day after I put on the collar it was like night and day. All of her bad behaviors are gone.

I have to admit that I was skeptical about this product, but not any more. We have a female cat and her brother that are three years old. Their personalities could not be more different. He is inquisitive, alert, and loveable. She has been withdrawn and aloof until now. She suffers from anxiety and overreacts to noise and movement to the point where she has to withdraw from the room where a lot is going on. 24 hours or so after we put the calming collar on her, her mood changed and she is much more relaxed. She is a sweet cat and is allowing us to touch and pet her much more than in the recent past. She hangs around and is much more relaxed. The difference is night and day. This product works great for our cat and I suggest that you at least try it for a cat that has anxiety problems. It has defenitely worked in our case.

I was skeptical, but figured this product was worth a shot. It turns out that it is an absolute miracle worker. My cat has always been an anxiety bomb and this collar has completely transformed him. For the first time in 10 years, he will approach people that come into my home and will even let them pet him. Before the collar, he would make a beeline for the cat door or cower under the covers when anyone neared my home. Since it worked so well for mine, I convinced my boyfriend to give it a shot on his spastic kitten. Although, he is still a little hyper, the collar has definitely taken the edge off and made him a lot calmer.

My mother in law bought this for me to try because my 8 year old female cat cries. She cries and cries and cries for no reason. She has been to the vet and isn't sick and she is nutered. She would stand on our bed and just meow the night away, (did it during the day too) she didnt want to be pet or anything- she would run away if you tried. I think she is just a nervous, skidish cat. My first thought was- there is no way my cat is going to wear that- she never wore a collar, but she did! And it has been a miracle! She barely ever cries now- and she has become much more loving and confident. I wish I would have tried this years ago. I also purchased one for my male 7 year old cat when we got a puppy. He was very stressed and would sometimes try to attack the puppy- and now he seems happy and peace is restored in the house!

I was very skeptical to purchase this, as the "calming pheromones" in the oil burner for the outlet did absolutely nothing. But; with thousands of dollars invested in my female cat and her urination behavior I reluctantly went ahead. *sigh of relief* It's been the ONLY thing that has changed her behavior and stopped her excessive peeing. I've replaced furniture, change litters, new litter boxes, new food, shocking cat mats that cover the couch, you name it. This little purple collar works wonders. Give it a chance.
My cat is Leeloo, she once had a peeing problem, and now does not.
Negatives: The collar is very messy when you open it, you have to chip off the white residue which is a chore.
-My cat chewed at the latch of the collar so bad that it actually broke, so I can see it being irritating for a cat that doesn't normally wear a collar
-it is a little stinky; the odor is a lavender chamomile fragrance that isn't very pleasant

I have a rescue cat that is so scared of his own shadow it's embarassing. He used to act out at the shelter by peeing on the feet of the volunteers he didn't like. He will seriously hiss at me if I walk by him and sometimes even take a swat at me....at this point you are wondering why I have him right? He's adorable and when I sit down he comes over and is very loving! I tried one of these collars thinking what can it hurt? It is seriously a 180 personality change! I can pick Solomon up and he purrs! I can approach him without him being fearful. Also my other cats are horrible to him, but once I put the collar on him they all started getting along. We started putting this collars on cats at the shelter - with great success! They don't work on every cat but the ones it does work on is just amazing!

I have a neutered cat I have had since he was a baby, and for some reason started marking everywhere on doors, counter tops, if I brought in plastic bags from the grocery. I purchased this product and immediately all his marking stopped. He is so much calmer, and Im so happy. Like the other comment I read it is a little strong the first day but it has a very pleasant smell. It is well worth any little bit of mess or smell to be able to keep your pet and stop this behavior. I LOVE this product and I'm so thankful !

I had the loudest most annoying cat ever, hes 3 years old. Me and my mom would go crazy listening to him howl and cry left and right it was too much to ignore. So i went in search of anything that would help. I got this in store on sale for a great price, u can get them in a 'one' pack so u can try it out. Now i gave it a 4 out of 5 because when u first take it out of the package, not gonna lie, the powder on the collar to 'protect the pheremones' WILL be everywhere, its not the initial product, so ur not really loosing anything, its just a mess, and lastly the smell of the lavender is a bit strong, my cat smells good now, but its pretty strong for a couple of days. However, does it work? YES, it worked almost instantly for my cat, me and my mom were listening for hours waiting for him to cry or whine, hes currently asleep next to me, hes meowed a couple of times, like a normal amount, but no where near what he used to do for hours on end. It has helped soooo much. I highly reccomend this product.
