I bought a Jolly Ball eight, yes eight years ago and it is still going strong with little signs of wear and tear of heavy play every day. I highly recommend the Jolly Ball.

Our Dobermans love to play with the Jolly ball and it is one of the few toys that stand up to the wear and tear they put it through. It makes a great outdoor toy that can be thrown or kicked between the kids and dogs and keep them busy playing for hours in cold weather and warm.

Good, but not chew toy.

This is a great toy, if used properly. I have a 200 lb English Mastiff and he absolutely loves this toy! He will play fetch non stop with this. But in order to not have your money wasted you need to make sure to keep you dog highly entertained and not distracted because this would be destroyed if the dog would rather use as a chew toy. So play fetch with this and also have a bone handy to play with that as well. But its a great toy for big dogs!

This ball has lasted our English Mastiff, Cassie the entire year! The handle is starting to come off a bit, and the ball itself has many teeth marks, but the quality of this toy has been excellent! Cassie loves to play fetch and chew on this toy, so it has been through the wear and tear from her, but has held up! Will be getting her a new one soon! One of the best toys we have bought yet.

Of course its unrealistic to think that any toy is undestructable, but my dogs (rottweilers) love this toy! Considering it was originally made for horses (why its undestructible), and my dogs can make it last for 6 months plus some is awesome! I love this toy, and I will continue getting it!

This toy lasted my golden mix for less than an hour. She knocked it around for a little bit and the plug come out, it lost all the air but its thick rubber retained its shape.

Getting ready to buy my 3rd for "pool time". I have a lab & pit mix and both will play forever in the pool with their Jolly Balls. We need a 3rd so we can throw a ball for them since they both will not let go of the one they each carry around and swim with.

Better Than Most

This is actually a pretty decent toy. The only downside for me was my pit bit off the handle pretty quickly and from there was able to tear a bigger whole in it. The ball has numerous teeth marks in it but is still holding up better than anything else I have!

I had one of these for 6 months before my dog was able to finally tear it up in a million pieces. I since tried different types and different companies. None seem to last long. I went back to this ball but it was destroyed within 48 hours. $30 dollars down the drain. not built as tough as they claim. I have a Mastiff/Rottweiler mix. She is strong and her jaws are to powerful for just any ball. This type was said to with stand the strongest dogs. I must have got a bad one but not willing to try another for $30. Two stars this round for lack of toughness and durability. Lasted longer than a kong. That took two hours.

Had no problem with this toy. My 70 pound lab mix did take out the plug the first day, but other than that, it's a super toy!!

Since the plug wasn't in no more, he was able to squeeze it in order to run around with it in his teeth. Then he finally realized that carrying it by the handle was easier :) Now he runs with it and it's one of his favorite toys. I got him the largest one the first time and just bought him the 6" one today just to add to his toy menagerie.

The demise of the Jolly Ball

I wish I could have given this product more than two stars since this lasted with my male Lab mix for three days. That's been longer than any other toy I've brought home.
Yes, we did play fetch with it, but he became obsessed with biting through the ball, eventually weakening the handle. We were with him in the yard when DH noticed that the handle was missing a piece...that piece was in Hooper's mouth.
Will return but will still try another JB product to see if it lasts.

Fun while it lasted

My 55 lb bully mixed-breed 9 month old puppy ripped the handle off of this ball in the first half hour. It would have come off sooner had we not been playing fetch with it for most of this time. This was probably his favorite toy yet, but at over $20 a pop, just didn't hold up like I had hoped.
