My husband and I are not used to finicky dogs as we've only had a lab mix and a puggle, both of whom would eat anything you put in front of them.

When we adopted our latest dog, a chihuahua mix, we had no idea there were dogs out there who were actually finicky, so we wondered why our new dog was not as excited to eat our other dog's food as he was (which is also a great brand, Blue Buffalo). When she was a puppy she loved her wet food but once we switched her to dry food she was not too happy about it.

After months of giving her our other dog's food and having to coax her to eat it every time, I finally got wise and did a little research online about chihuahua eating habits and realized how picky they can be. Royal Canin Chihuahua food came highly recommended so I thought I'd give it a try.

Well, I couldn't believe it but my new dog loved it and chowed it down in minutes! I was amazed! I also felt guilty that my poor little chi had been so bummed out about eating her other food for so many months and probably just ate it out of desperation. :(

I'm so glad I researched this brand and decided to give it a try. I feel so much better knowing that my little dog actually enjoys eating now.

I have fed this to all my chi-chis. They love it. Only ONE (1) problem. It is expensive and never coupons or on sale.

I have been feeding the adult chihuahua food to my 5 Long haired Chihuahuas now for over 6 years and they love it. They never get tired of eating it and it has kept them healthy and happy all of their lives.
