Codetta is a long-haired 12 yo Calico who has a habit of pulling clumps of her hair out. As a result, she can ingest quite a bit of hair and, eventually, heave hairballs. Since switching her menu to Purina Pro Plan Adult Long Coat formula, the hairball problem has not returned. Kitty is happier and more content. Thank you.

Pro Plan Long Hair Food

Dakota is a long hair Maine Coon/Siamese mix who is 12 years old. After getting the kitten, Aspen, to help keep him active after our 17 year old passed away, I looked for food for medium to long hair cats, but also something that might help Dakota's tummy.

It has taken some time, but Dakota's tummy seems calmer than it was on regular food. I do still mix it with normal food, but the easy digest bits in this food really seem to help him.

It also helps with his hairballs, and his hair is black and getting more shine and in better condition. I was going to get the hairball foot, but it doesnt have the easy digest that this food does. I just wish it came in larger bags!

My 4 year old cat has been on Purina ProPlan products for well over 3 years. She has extremely long-hair (Himalayan style fur) so I have been feeding her the ProPlan Hairball Managment (which is phenomenal for hairballs). But I have noticed her fur is not as bright, shiny and soft as when she was younger. I tried treats, vitamins and anything else with extra Omega, but nothing seemed to work. Then ProPlan came out with a new product "Long Coat". AMAZING!! In less than a week, I noticed a difference... (and so did everyone else that stopped by the house). Her coat was softer, silkier and richer looking! I even gave some family members and friends a sample of the food to try with their cats and they loved it. I find that mixing the Long Coat and the Hairball Management (evenly half and half) gives my cat the best coat I have ever felt and no hairballs to clean up!! Thank you ProPlan for making such fantastic products for my fur-child!
