It took 3 days for my 3 month old puppy to put a hole in it. Extremely disappointed! We paid a lot of money for this and now it's trash. My advice, find a better product for your dog.

I too bought this Kong crate bed thinking it was strong and durable. Well, it took my 6 month old dachshund day 2 to tear into the corner and take out the stuffing. Very disappointed with this product that I paida good amount of money for and it lasted only 2 days.

Well I wanted to buy my dog Devo a strong yet comfortable bed for his crate and after months of looking for what i thought would be the right one because of the way they advertise there Kong crate beds...water resistant and (DURABLE!) LOL! Oh sorry did i laugh out loud? What a joke this bed is the second day he tore the side and pulled most of the stuffing out of it I am so upset that i to like another person wrote am going to have to go back to putting towels or blankets in his crate..Thanks Kong for the waste of money on this product....My advise to anyone who wants to by a crate bed is stay away from this one it is not as strong as it looks.

The first night our dog chewed through the fabric on the edge and pulled the stuffing out, I fixed that and it lasted two weeks. That time the dog ripped off all the trim, pulled out the stuffing and pretty much destroyed all but the middle of the pad. I am going to re-trim that and see if we can salvage any of it. Very disappointing for the price. The only thing he does not chew is fleece blankets, so I guess we are going to stick with those for now, just wanted to get him on some sturdier bedding because he had a hygroma.

I got this Kong bed after my Westie Yorkie Mix destroyed five other beds. She was eating the zippers off other beds, pulling out the stuffing, ripping apart the fabric, etc. After getting the Kong Bed it's the only bed I'll buy. The most destructive thing she can do to this bed is flip it upsidedown while she's in the crate. 100% buy this bed for a puppy! It's also very easy to clean/throw in the wash for puppy accidents!

My pit-bull mix is 2 years old and has bent cages and destroyed beds. I got this when we got our income tax and we've had it for 2 months and so far he goes and does everything in his new Kong cage since we got this pad. He just loves but he hasn't tried to chew it only paw at it.

I bought this to line the adult-size crate we bought for our puppy. Although the bed did not have qualities that made her want to chew it, she scratched holes in it almost immediately. I won't replace it yet, but I will have to much sooner than I planned.

Bought KONG 48 Crate Pad this morning. We have a lab under one year. He had holes in the bolster (sides) within 5 minutes, pulling out the light green fluff. So I don't recommend the pad (which is actually lovely) for chewy pets.

We thought this was going to be great, but our dog, like others, flipped it over and tore the black non-skid bottom out and the foam was everywhere.

The top is currently in place but not sure how long it will last. I thought being Kong this was going to last, but it has not.

My 10 month old pit mix puppy is a big chewer, so I decided to try out the Kong bed. Within the first hour, she began tearing off the black edging detail... after 2 days, the entire bed is now filled with holes & the stuffing & foam is almost completely gone.
I love the tough black Kong toy & the red Kong ball... she hasn't been able to destroy those yet, but Kong should not market this bed as anything with related durability.

We bought this crate pad as a more durable solution for our corgi puppy. She tore up all the foam crate pads and beds we got for her but this has been the only one that has stood up to her and also not collected a ton of hair (corgis shed a lot!). I love the material of this bed and it doesn't tempt my dog to chew since it isn't fuzzy.

I read the other reviews before buying this product and I think that some of the other people need to remember that everything can be destroyed and they shouldn't just blame the product!

I love these crate pads. I have two almost 7 month old puppies. A chocolate lab and a slightly older bernese mountain dog (8 days older). I originally bought the pads many months ago since they said durable and water resistant. During potty training these were great and easily washed in my washer. My bernese has had issues her whole life so far with diarrhea and these clean up very easily; not to mention the raised padded edging is a great barrier to leaks and they use it as a pillow. I can't even tell you how many times I've washed them and aside from my husband washing them with the dog towels so that there were little fuzzies all over (came off easy)...they look just as they always have, no real wear or tear at all. They really do look great in the crates too. Their hair also doesn't stick to it so I'm not sure why one of the reviewers had such a hard time with hair on it. My puppies love to dig and chew but they have never torn into these. More bone and stuffed animal chewers (it looked like it snowed in my living room recently from one of their stuffed animal deaths) These pads really do hold up though if your dog isn't ravishly chewing into it. The only complaint I have is that the inner padding is starting to ball up on the inside but it's easily torn apart and respread from the outside. Overall yes I would recommend this product and I hope to find one for the new 54" crate we bought our bernese since she is getting huge!

I show and breed wire hair dachshunds (standards) and these are the best crate pads on the market. They dogs cannot chew them up, they wash wonderfully and looke nice in the crate.....I am buying more.
