In October 2012, I adopted a kitten. At the time, I bought this teaser for him. It was instantly his favorite and he carries it around the house! It is used by me and by him many times every day. Apparently, it has been vastly improved because I truly have not had one single complaint. The straw is now gone from his nails and teeth, but the rest of it is perfect. The teaser part is still securely attached to the handle stick, the bell is still attached and the fabric is a bit tattered but all attached. Some of the feathers remain. Considering its reasonable price and the amount it as been used, it was the perfect purchase. I have also bought one as a gift for a friend's cat. Treat your little cat or kitten to hours of fun!

Once upon a time, I would have seconded the other review. The first one I got, the blue thing fell off in a few minutes flat. But, my four cats loved it. I epoxied it back together, and they proceeded to rip it apart over the next month. It quickly became a favorite toy (and trust me, they have 15 different styles of feather teaser alone to choose from). This was their #1.

So, when the time came to buy another one, i was prepared to glue the thing up when they took it apart. This one is very, very similar to the first one... but IT HOLDS UP! I bought them four. All four have experienced some really rough play and tug of war for over a month now and all have held up.

Martha Stewart Company REALLY improved this product in the second run. It was enough to shock me. Give it another try.

Terrible quality for the money spent

We just bought this toy a couple of hours ago, and it's already come apart.

The blue flexible piece from the wood handle to the feathers and corn husk was held on with what looks like a dab of hot glue. It obviously hadn't held up. My cat only weighs 6lbs and barely held onto it before it fell apart.

Boo Martha...

I think I'll just find cat toys elsewhere.
