My Cat Loves It!

I just recently changed my cat dry food from the blue wilderness indoor chicken recipe to the weight control chicken recipe since my cat needs to lose a couple of pounds. -By the way, he also loved the indoor one!- Well, It's too early to tell the affect on his weight yet, but I have noticed his awful feces smell went away since I switched! Until now I just never thought that the diet can change the smell of the litter this much!!!The reason why I gave 4 star is because my cat asks for more food now. It's like he is not satisfied with it. So when he looks up and keeps meowing at me for more, it is so hard to say NO every time:( He just never did that before I switched. I guess I will update on his weight change later.

Excellent food with great ingredients, cats love!

This food is excellent - it offers wonderfully whole ingredients and a healthful approach to dry cat food. Our cats absolutely love it, and it has helped our overweight cat shed some extra pounds. I have also noticed a great difference in the softness of their coat! This is amazing food that is well worth the cost!

My cat likes this food, but has not lost any weight. Started out with 1c then 1/2c but she still keeps gaining weight. Not sure what is wrong with my cat.

My cat was not doing well and I thought I was going to lose her because she was over wieght and having problems keeping her food down, having sesizures, stroke symptoms, and costapation problems. After changing her food to the Blue Bufflo Weight Management Wilderness formula for five months now she has lost 3/4 of a pound and all of her symptoms have improved tremendously. I belive the food change has saved her life. I am very greatfull to have tried it and I plan on sticking with it.

Not even recognized as food by my cat

After a recent checkup for my cat, Tigger, I was told by the vet that he needs to get on a weight control diet, and senior diet. I did lots of research, and based on the reviews here, I bought the small bag. Granted, my cat is very set in his ways, but he didn't even express a passing interest in this stuff. When I opened the bag, I wasn't impressed with the smell or appearance of it, but I'm not a cat, so I offered some to Tigger just a piece of it in my hand. He normally at LEAST finds the item in my hand and focuses on it with sniffing and licking, and if he likes it he'll grab it from my hand. None of that happened with this stuff. He just kept sniffing all over my hand, trying to figure out why I thought he'd be interested. I had already put the recommended 25% transition amount recommended by the manufacturer in his bowl, but for 2 days, he didn't touch his food. I got rid of it, and now he's back to eating normally. BTW...I just got the results of his blood test, and everything is perfect, even though he is 14 years old and eats Meow Mix. I'm just glad I didn't waste more than 10 dollars on this garbage. I imagine a cat WILL lose weight if he doesn't eat his food. So, its back to food that he likes, and apparently gives him proper nutrition, in spite of the fact that its bag doesn't contain a bunch of buzzwords and gimmicks.

I had to change my cats food from Organix to Blue Wilderness Weight Control because he was still not losing weight on Organix, and was still having issues with keeping his food down. He took to this food quite easily, with the exception he was still throwing up, and had not lost weight after 2 mo on this particular food. He is also licking his belly clean of all his hair, so I have come to the conclusion, after a trip to the vet and cleared of any health issues, that he has a sensitive tummy, and may also be allergic to chicken now after 12 yrs. since chicken flavored food is all he will eat and all I have been feeding him.
I will be trying out the Blue Basics LDT Ingredient in the Turkey or Duck to see if that may help remedy his issues. Im pleased with this brand, and I have always given him the best food / high quality brands because I want to keep him around as long as possible.
Thanks for a great product BB. I will write a review on the BB LTD Basics when the standard 12 week food allergy / sensitivity to food, test is up.
I hope to be able to continue with BB for years to come.

I have a cat with IBD who also happens to be a very picky eater. It is so difficult keeping weight on him, I would feed him a buffet of good foods but all he wanted was junk which only made his IBD symptoms worse. I read that grain free was the best diet to feed him but he wouldn't eat canned so I gave the Wilderness a try and he loves it. I feed him the weight control because I have several other cats that are overweight and I wanted them all to eat the same food so I wouldn't have to separate them. They all love it, all I can say is "WOW". I haven't seen my IBD cat looking this good in years. He loves it so much that he eats a bunch and actually has a beautiful coat and is maintaining a healthy weight now. It seems I was always cleaning up after him, most other foods made him vomit but even that has stopped. As long as he will eat it I will keep buying it. Yes it's a little pricey but I stock up when it's on sale and I have to say that I'm actually saving money now because I'm not making as many trips to the vet. This stuff is awesome!

Best thing I ever did for my cats!

We wanted to do something better for our cats. After tons of research we found Blue. We were concerned about the price since we would be feeding 3 cats but it really was listed as the top food to buy.
After three weeks we could feel difference in their coat. The big deal was their first vet visits and their weight had improved. The vet was also ecstatic to hear that we had changed them to Blue.
Biggest show of this foods value is what it did for our stray we took in about 8 months ago. His coat and weight were poor, and teeth were missing. It took a total of 2 weeks to feel an improvement in his coat. He is now the softest cat in the house. He gained weight on the weight-loss version and after 6 months is at a steady weight. He has no problem eating with his missing teeth and those that he still has are now in great shape.
If the price is what is holding you back stop debating it. Try it, you will never go back.

My cats love this

My 4 adultl cats love this dry food. 2 of the 4 are very heavy so everyone is on the diet brand. I am trying to move my babies to more protein and less carbs as my vet has recommended but this manufacturer doesn't state the total carbs in a way that I can relate to. So that is my reason for not going with a full 5 stars.
I am not sure anyone is losing weight on this product but i am sure that its a better choice than they were getting before. They have been on this for 4 months and the first 2 weeks it was noticable in their bowel movements but everyone is ok now. Sorry if that was TMI

I recently adopted two big, fluffy, 1 y/o orange and white boys who eat constantly! They were getting a little plump on the pro plan they'd been eating, so I switched them to this stuff. They seemed to question it at first, but after the first day, it was smooth sailing. I have been feeding this for about 3 weeks, and have noticed one of the cats has a shiner coat. He was looking a little dull and lackluster when I first got him home. Neither of them are getting any fatter, but they still eat freely. I am very happy with the results my kitties have been getting from this food, and I will continue to purchase, as long as they continue to love it!
