My husband and I decided to purchase this product in the hopes it would help stop our 8 month old Shorkie (Shih Tzu/Yorkie) from barking. Our condo is located in an area where there is a bit of foot traffic behind our yard. Her barking was starting to cause our neighbors to become very annoyed, even to the point that an "unknown" neighbor put a note on our door. After reading some of these reviews we decided to give it a shot. We were AMAZED. The very first time we hit the button it got her attention! It spooked her a little but did not cause her any pain or shock. We decided to use the key word "no bark" right before we hit the button. We've had this for 2 days now and have only had to hit the button a handful of times. She see's the "egg" and is much more mindful and listens. If she tries to bark all we have to say is "no bark" and she quiets down. We highly recommend this product, it's worth the money.

We love our Sonic Egg! We have the large egg and it has really helped our dogs when they go outside early in the morning to stay quiet and not wake the whole neighborhood if they see a cat. I'm now going to get the handheld egg for on the go.

We have a hound dog, and a stubborn one. Next to invisible fence, this is the greatest invention. No bulky spray collars. They seem ridiculous and maybe cruel. He barks at people walking by and anything that moves. He reacted instantly to the "egg". After two tries, all I now do is dangle the egg on its strap. I swear, he also responds to the word "egg". He turns and runs into the house and looks sheepish. He still barks, but less and can be controlled. I can't believe it. Not sure how it would work with multiple pets, but it says you have to be within 15 feet to be effective, so you probably can be selective.

When I bought this product, I was nearing my wits end with our dogs' incessant barking inside the house. Our neighborhood has many outside cats, rabbits, and is frequented by dogs on leash. I didn't want a product that would work when we weren't home, because I feel the barking can help protect our home from would-be burglars. From first push, I could tell it was working. The audible sound for humans is not painful. But the sound the dogs hear gets their attention right away! I only have to push it once with a firm "No", and the barking immediately ceases. I also use it as a deterrent for bad behavior, like indoor cat chasing or caged bird hunting. We have a Beagle/Basset mix, and 2 Pug/Lab mixes.

I have two dogs who not only bark when someone is coming to our door, but also bark at the neighbors who are in their own driveway, bark at people walking by our house, barking because they hear a dog bark 3 miles away... just too much barking. A friend of mine raved about this product so I thought I would try it too. I really think it's magic. Now if they bark (once) then run next to me to see if I'm picking up the egg. The barking is much less than it was. Sometimes they just grunt a little. It's kind of funny and very entertaining I must say!

For those of you who had no success, try this. Get your dogs attention and then press the button. He/she will not like the sound and will show it. MEANWHILE have someone waiting at the front door and have them knock. When your dog barks, say the command that you normally use to correct. No, stop, shush, etc. if your verbal command is ignored press the button. If the dog does not respond, get closer and repeat. This procedure shows your dog what you want and that you mean it.
I have to very stubborn Chihuahuas and it sure works with them. Now I keep it around my neck while we are active with the dogs and I don't have to push the button much. All I do now is say stop and reach for it and they stop right away.
We are very amused at them because now they emit a little wolf and look up at us as if they now they did a no no.
I have gotten my $20's worth.

I have a cocker/golden ret. mix. I only used this a few times and now all I have to do is go and get it and he will stop barking. For those of you that are having problems with this item try this: Stand in front of your dog when they are relaxed...push the button...they do hear it...when you can see that it has their attention...push it a few more times...then use the command of no bark or quiet. I had my daughter go outside and ring the doorbell or knock on the door and I pushed the button when he barked. After a few times he got the hang of it and now when people come over all I have to do is reach for it and he shuts up!!!

There where no signs of hurting or discomfort. I used it the next morning at 2:30 am .for whimpering and whinning. at the back gate . pressed and held button for a second . and whimpering stopped and both came running to me. All I can say is it worked for my 2 Mutes.

My yorkie barks at everything, falling leaves, golf balls, other dogs and people, kind of annoying since we live in an apartment. This device will NOT stop the barking, but it will make my yorkie stop long enough to look at me, listen to my commands and/or allows me time to calm her down..Perfect, exactly what I wanted. I am able to use our training skills and to let my dog know I'm in control, but more importantly I believe she is learning the difference between real danger and everyday noises. I use it in the car, the park and indoors.........what a gem!!! Easy to use and inexpensive.

This product is not worth the money. The 9v battery runs out very quickly if the egg is left on for an hour at a time. My dog barked more whenever the product was on.

We have a 1yr. old Labardoodle. He would bark in a very high pitch to get attention. I had to use this about three times. Now if he starts all I have to do is show it to him and he stops. I am well pleased.

My one year old lab had developed separation anxiety and we had exhausted other options on how to get her back to her normal self. I was against bark collars, citronella spray, and coin shaking wasn't doing the trick either. With proper use and about a week and a half of patience, using her kennel was back to normal! What was once a struggle to get her in the kennel followed by unbearable whines, whimpers and barks is now a quiet, patient puppy waiting for my return. I was amazingly surprised at how fast she caught on when the egg was used and would definitely recommend this product!

I purchased the Sonic Egg to help stop my dog's barking, especially at other dogs. However, it was an epic failure. When I pressed the button, per the instructions, my dog stopped barking, looked at the egg for about 2 seconds, then went right back to barking. Pressing the button again had no effect. I tried it on a few different walks and the same thing happened on the second walk. By the third time, she didn't even look at where the sound was coming from. Obviously I returned the sonic egg at my next visit to the pet store.

My six month old Shih Tuz has been barking out of control, I first brought a collar and I did not like the affect. So I went and purchased this product, it worked the first night and THAT'S IT!!! After my purchase I read several reviews where it worked. I did not have the luck they had, I even changed the batteries twice and my dog still continue to bark. If you try this good luck!

I purchased this to stop my Chug (Chihuahua-Pug mix) from barking. He is 9 years old and barks at the mailman, other dogs and at people when riding in the car and at home. Have been trying to train him for a month by using the device and saying be quiet in a normal voice. He paused momentarily at the sound it makes and then continued to bark until I yelled at him to be quiet. I am very disappointed.

I would love to know if this works for my dogs or not. But, once the battery's in, it snaps in place, and there doesn't appear to be a way to get it out of the narrow channel it is in. Fail.
