to be able to use pan liners had to use 4 inches of litter so as not to expose the plastic liner, abby ripped up the first one I used so I added more litter to cover plastic which comes up to the heavy cover which is suppose to keep pan liner covered but 4 " of litter to do that and Abby flicks the litter all over the floor The cover is heavy to keep box in place but thats all it does. If you try to use less litter there is no sense in using the pan liners or paying that price for a litter box if kitty shreds liners. I wish I didnt buy this

I love this litter box! Very clever the way it keeps the liner in line (LOL) and it's just the right height for my cats as I have another litter box right next to it that's higher and they won't use it. I guess it's too hard to get in. They love this one. Easy for them to get in and out. It took Martha Stewart to make such a simple, clean, convenient design. I'm buying another as I think they each want their own.

I bought this litter box for the high sides touted on the box, since I have at least one cat who sometimes "overshot" the top of a standard litter box. When I assembled it I was disappointed to find the sides only fractionally higher than a standard (and much cheaper) litter box. On the plus side, I did like the fact that the top part does hold the liner in place well, but this was not enough of a plus for me for the price difference.

Prettiest Litter Box on the Block

I LOVE this litter box design. It is has a beautiful appearance and functions so much better than the one I replaced. It covers the bag liner in such a clever way, and the weight of the cover keeps the box in place without having to overfill the box.

My only suggestion would be to maybe use the same material for the base that is used for the cover, which feels so much more sturdy. Or, I love the way Marthas cat bowl has a stainless steel liner, maybe something similar on the litter box would be great.
