I did a lot of research when I knew I was going to be getting a puppy. I chose Blue Wilderness for him because it had great reviews, and I really liked the fact that it is grain free, which many of my dog owning friends recommended. Barkley, my 9 1/2 week old Boxer/German Sheppard mix, seems to love it; the bowl is always empty after I feed him. I'm very happy that I did my research and found a quality food for him!

not for my pit bull pup

I bought this for my 4 month old pit bull pup thinking this is going to be great for him because of all the reviews. Too bad it didn't work for him, it just made him really gassy, like constant very smelly gas, even his vet did not recommend it because it's too rich.

I just recently switch foods from science diet to this BB..I love it and so does my Golden/Catahoula Leopard dog mix who just turned 1 in February! price is high but you can't put a price on your baby! I find that I feed him less and his bowels are so much easier to pick up. He loves it down to licking that bowl empty, I combine dry with a little of the grind meat that BB has and he just loves it, loves it!! his coat is beautiful and soft and he looks so healthy. I recommend this product!

My 8 week old chihuahua loves this food after her stomach was bothered a great deal I went on a forum and found out this food was the most recommended, she loves it had dances for her food now, I am so happy with the results of how she has perked up and is now looking amazing, she used to have horrible dandruff and now she is shiny and super soft, thanks blue you saved my puppy!

We purchased a 12 week old boxer puppy from a breeder. He seemed small for his age but none of the puppies in the liter were really an impressive size and he looked healthy so we didn't find it concerning. He got a clean bill of health from the vet other than the fact that they wanted him to gain weight which we were expecting them to say. We knew it was normal for puppies to get the occasional "runs" especially with the stress of a new home, people etc but man was this something else. Back to the vet we went to test for worms and it came back clean. We even put him on Chicken and rice to calm his belly for a few days and as soon as we slowly introduced his dry food back, BAM....runs again. Long story short, we weren't happy with the original vet and found another one who was patient with us as we tried to figure out what was going on with our new puppy. After putting him on perscription food for sensitive bellies he started to gain weight and the potty issues were getting MUCH better. All this time he had a food allergy. Now it was a matter of finding a food he could tolerate. I've heard amazing things about Blue Buffalo and its common for Boxers to have a wheat allergy so we gave it a shot. We love what BlueBuffalo Wilderness had to offer and our boxer Tucker is doing amazing!! We mix it with the same brand of wet food and he gobbles it all up. he is now 6 months old and the vet said he is the perfect weight and he has a beautiful coat and he has the best temperment. Boxers are known to be hyped up and he is calm, relaxed, happy and listens so well. We are so happy that he is a healthy and happy pup! It was so frustrating watching him get sick and not gain weight and BlueBuffalo fixed all of that for us! We even have him on Blue Buffalo treats for training. It is safe to say that all of our future dogs will be on Blue Buffalo.

My 8 wk old wolf hybrid puppy mixed with golden retriever LOVES this dog food. While on formula (had her since she was 3-4 weeks old...poor thing) it was like I couldnt keep her full so had to up intake. On the Blue Buffalo Puppy Dry Dog Food, she eats 1/2 cup twice a day (recommended amount for puppies up to 3-4 months off seems a little low per my puppies demands... but) it seems to keep her pretty full. Mind you she used to "wolf" her food down so I had to get a slow feed bowl; she LOVES her dog food! I highly recommend this dog food as my dog loves it. The major selling point to me was it is based off of the "wolves" diet and she has ALOT of wolf traits.

Excellent for Active Dogs

I've had my Black and Tan Coonhound girl on this since day one. We spend 23.5 hours a day together (we bathe, eat, play, drive, sleep together) Her movements have always been firm and frequent. She exercises (mostly running and exploring local forests with me) for at least 4 hours every day. I give her 4-5 meals a day (depending on her activity levels) and supplement with carrot and green bean snacks that she LOVES. I have yet to hear her bark or even whimper in the months that I have had her. She is calm, relaxed, and confident when around new and uncomfortable environs. TOTW would be my next choice, however, the protein content was a little low and the carbs a little high for her particular development (and, of course, she is getting cooked vege supps). TL;DR: Buy this food if you have an active, medium-large sized dog that is getting lots of dietary attention. This is a waste of your money if you're feeding your pup lasagna. :P

We had tried two or three other dry foods after adopting our pup, but she seemed to get bored by them (and they didn't do much for her digestive system...) so we switched her to BB. She's kept a steady weight and her "goings" are much healthier now. This is the best brand I've ever come across! Lately I've been mixing in different flavors of BB's Wilderness wet food. Only food she's ever licked the bowl clean for!

I decided to make sure my puppy has the best start in life and decided to use Blue Buffalo Puppy after reviewing the benefits.
I brought it home and Smokey loved it right away. He is growing and I feel comfortable knowing he will be healthy with this choice.

I rescued my puppy Elliot last April and was on purina from the humane society (yuck!) went straight to blue. The only straight thing about it was the way it went through him. Gained no weight and was still skinny. After putting him on nutro, he'd gained his adult weight. After a few months we've put him on taste of the wild as well as our shar pei Jing. Both doing the best ever on it. Bottom line, good food, way expensive and not good for MY dog.

We fed our puppy golden retriever BLUE Wilderness grain-free puppy food from the time we brought her home at 9-weeks until she was 11-months old, at which time we transitioned her to the BLUE Wilderness adult chicken recipe. Although a bit more expensive than many other brands, the results we saw in our puppy made it worth it. Our puppy developed a shiny and healthy looking coat, as well as maintained a great growth pattern according to our vet. Aside from the rare few days where our puppy just didn't seem to want to eat, the food never lasted too long in the food bowl. Highly recommend this puppy food to anyone that has a desire to feed a high protein diet to their puppy and can afford the extra cost.

When we first got our puppy girl, Cents, who is a gotti-line blue nose pit bull. When the staff at the Bakersfield PetSmart on Ming st, (which is the town we adopted her in but, we live in Fresno) asked us what sort of body shape did we want her to have (meaty, big, skinny) I said meaty and they recommended the number one , top of the line Blue Wilderness Puppy. It is expensive, $25 for small bag $50 for the big bag. But she loves it dry or with a little water added to it. Her coat is a beautiful shiny and soft black with a dash of white. Her vet reported her gums were perfect pink and her breath isn't the worst thing anymore ;). I would definitely recommend this brand if you have the money to spare on the high end dog food. Its worth it to me.

My boyfriend and I adopted a 2 month old Boxer/German Shepard mix after Thanksgiving last year. Up until the day we brought him home, we hadn't decided what to feed him (too many choices and poor planning on our part). So we went to PetSmart the night we brought him home and bought a 4lb bag of the first thing that caught my boyfriend's eye: BLUE Wilderness Grain-Free Puppy Food. I've only heard good things about Blue but just in case he didn't like it (since each dog is different and he had only been weened for 2 days at the shelter) we bought the smallest bag. Well, I have to say, he LOVES it! We haven't had to try any other brands. He's 4 months now, it eats 3 cups a day, and is growing like crazy! I will say that the cost per pound is a little much. I'm thinking of switching him to another BB puppy food which gives you more per pound but if he likes it, and I'm happy with the ingredients, then I guess I'm ok with paying a little extra right now.

I initially chose Blue Buffalo because of their advertisement and the “compare challenge” that they have on their web site. If you read the ingredients on the package, it is probably healthier than most the stuff I eat. I saw the benefits of that when I had the perfect comparison. I adopted my dog from a shelter at 2 months old. There was a litter of 6. We started him on Iams Puppy, because that is what the shelter had them on. I changed him over to Buffalo Wilderness Puppy as soon as I could. At 4 months of age our dog and I were at Petsmart and ran in to his brother. His brother was smaller in size and a little chunky while our dog looks healthy, has lots of energy and lots of lean muscle. That is a spot on confirmation of how much better Blue Buffalo products are for your dog over some of the more popular items.
