Puppy easily destroyed this leash

I bought this leash less than a week ago to give our 12 week-old a little more freedom. I bought based on her mature size. It's already been destroyed. She occasionally bites at her leash in play (not sustained chewing) and easily broke the "durabelt" down where it attaches to the collar. Don't buy this leash until your puppy is trained to completely leave it alone.

Pros: comfortable

Cons: fragile, Doesn't Work on Training

I was in the market for a retractable leash that would work well with my four strong dogs. I can honestly say this one is it. I have very strong dogs and I thought for sure when they went after a cat this thing would do like all the others and bust and my dogs would go running after the cat or squirrel dragging the leash and busted up plastic behind them. I saw this and said I'll give it one more try and if this don't work i give up on the retractables. well I am so glad I gave them one more try My dogs have yet to bust this one trying to chase after something they reach the end of the leash and errrk stopped in their tracks. love it I recommend for big and small dogs. just to let yall know what type of strong dogs I have that this leash works great with. try this 1.Jack russell 2. Pit bull 3&4 are both Male 1/2 German sheapard 1/2 Rotwiler. like I said STRONG dogs and it keeps them well with in bounds. the button on the top still works the liftable button still works the glide of the leash part itself is as smooth and spreadable butter. the latch is sturdy and strong. has not flintched one bit. overall Great product a must have in my case. I apologize for any misspellings in this review. I'm sure there are a few.

Bought this leash today with the half off deal of the day and I love it! I had been using a regular 6' nonretractable leash for the past year bc I didnt like the idea of my dog running yards in front of me and also because I am teaching her to heel. However, this leash was a great purchase bc of the value for what I paid. Also, I used to always have to untangle my dog's feet from the nonretractable leash when we walked and I always had to coil up the extra length of the material. No more! The retractable makes walking comfortable for both you and your dog. Love it!

I have a pit bull mix, a lab mix, and 2 miniature beagles. My pit mix is so strong she has snapped six retractable leashes (ones for 100 pound dogs; she weighs 40 pounds)! I bought this almost a year ago and it is still in excellent shape. However, I did buy the large one for up to 150 pounds. Nothing I have found is of comparable quality. I bought it for the warranty but I don't think I'll be needing it. My lab is now a year old and 72 pounds and I'm purchasing another today for her use. She just now snapped one for small dogs... I bought it when I rescued her (2 months old)...or should I say, when she rescued me. Both of my beagles have one in the medium size and they are perfect. I will never buy a leash that isn't made by Flexi. The thick belt glides smoothly and never gets caught up (a problem i have previously had). Incredible buy! You won't regret it.

I had purchased two cheaper retractable leashes and they both broke within a very short time. I bought this one due to the Lifetime Guarantee and LOVE it. I like the fact that the leash is 'belt' material and not a skinny little string. It flows back into the mechanism very easily and smoothly. It blocks easily as well in order to quickly control the dog. Highly recommend it!
