All Living Things(r) Shell Hide

This shell hide is made from a sand-based composite that absorbs and retains heat. The shape makes the shell an ideal basking platform.

I got this for my Red Eared Slider, AT First he was terrified of it because he thought a bigger turtle was gonna pop out and eat him, but now he sits ontop of it, and catches the fish that pass by, also he likes to sleep in it when his heat lamp is on, and he wants to get away from the light, SUPER COOL :)
Pros: stylish, easy to clean, sturdy

I bought this shell for my Uromastyx lizard as a cool place to hide. The moment I put it in his tank, he went wild. I have never seen him so excited. He was climbing on it, and jumping off, and hiding inside. It is a very large, heavy (concrete?) shell. He is a fully grown Uromastyx, and there is SO much room in the shell for him. Fits very well in his 40 gallon tank. Highly recommend.
Pros: stylish, sturdy, easy to clean

I purchased this hide for my ball python Tambi a few days ago and, save for the occasional handling, she hasn't come out of it since! (A sign of contentedness as far as snakes are concerned.) It's amusing to see this giant tortoise shell with an itty bitty python face or tail poking out. Plus, the shell looks pretty by itself, and is a nice variation from the standard rock-looking hide.
Tambi herself is about three feet long, healthily plump and growing right now, and she seems to fill the hide exactly halfway--so it's on the roomy side for something like a ball python, who really like to box themselves in, but the extra space isn't so drastic as to stress her out and she'll grow into it soon enough. But I wouldn't recommend it for a snake much shorter than she is for that reason. At the same time, I'm not so sure that it's big enough for an adult beardie as the description claims; a half grown or small adult, maybe, but I think a dragon longer than 13-14 inches would have trouble turning around to get out. Not that beardies often go in hides anyway, so it could still make a nice basking spot. The shell is on the "cool" side of Tambi's vivarium so I can't say for sure how hot it gets under a heat bulb, but it feels like the same kind of creamic material most other hides are made from, so I don't think overheating would be an issue. Overall it's just a very fun piece!
