Grreat Choice Scratch N Nap for Cats

Made of durable corrugated cardboard, this scratcher encourages your cat's instinctive scratching behavior. Rub the cardboard with catnip and your cat will love scratching and pawing the corrugated surfaces.

I have both designs. My cat Snowball loves her bed! She is always laying in one of her beds. We needed a scratching mat and a bed and when we saw them in PETSMART we had to get a few. I like how the sides trap the pieces of cardboard inside.

Good idea poor quality

The idea is great, our cats loved the scratch bed at once. But after a week of them using it, it started to fall apart - the cardboard from a side first fell off, then the middle part as well. This thing isn't worth the money.

My two cats absolutely have love this item since I bought them each one. One is a bigger cat and she hangs out over the sides but she doesn't seem to mind. I agree that they should have refills for them. My cats have scratched the bottoms clear down to the outer box but really haven't scratched the sides.
They both choose to sleep in these even though they both have very plush cat beds.
Off today to get 2 more...well worth the money!!

This product has saved our woodwork! It have met the needs for scratching for both our cats with claws and our ones without! And every cat owner knows how much a cat loves a box....this also meets that need. We have these in several stratgeic spots in our house and the cats either nap or scratch...but they are rarely empty. Well worth the money, arrived in a "snap" and qaulified for free delivery. Win/win/win...and my woodwork is spared.

I have three cats and all of them love this scratching cat bed. The bed comes with a little bag of cat nip which for some cats can over stimulate them so a little goes a long way. It is hard to believe that something so hard is exactly what they all seem to want to lay in and just relax. They can get aggressive at times and tear up the box but it is better that that your carpet or furniture, right?
I highly recommend not getting one but two. They will love you for it!

cat is in love

When I first took this toy out of the box I felt a little underwhelmed, the look is ok. My 8 year old cat immediately fell in love with this! I didn't even have to use the catnip. He plays then sleeps, he is a little big for the box but could care less. So happy with this purchase.

It's a great little napping area for Mooney he likes the cardboard so he can scratch it with his claws. I added some Whisker city cat nip on it. He loved it, and rolled around in it, before taking a nap. I'm hoping to get him another Whisker City sleeper for another room with a different shape/different scratch surface. (an S shape)
I like that the cardboard flakes won't get all messy like the last one we had. Nice price too!

When I brought it home, my kitten was at first not interested in sleeping in or scratching it, but when I placed her in it, she instantly got comfy and now loves it. As I write this she's sleeping in it. Very good bed and resting spot, but she refuses to scratch it. Even trying to move her paws & scratch it, to no avail.

I had to purchase a scratch pad for my cat as we moved into an apartment. He was used to scratching his nails on trees normally or an outdoor carpet. To avoid him scratching my new couch, I tried this. He absolutely loves this thing - he's always laying in it or rubbing his face all over it! The catnip I put on it makes it like a magnet for him. I was very surprised. Would definitely recommend this!

Bought one for my 2 yr old female kitty. She just loves the pad! Can hardly get her out of it. She's used the flat scratching pads before, but really adores this.

Stoped my cat from scratching the furniture!

We adopted a 3 year old cat that was about to go to the pound. Fortunately she was not d-clawed because I learned it is not the right thing to do to a cat.
Unfortunately, she was not d-clawed and my furniture began to suffer. This scratcher deverted her attention from the couch and almost completely stopped the furniture destruction.

My cat, a very playful Torti, was obviously a paper scratcher, not a tire scratcher, so I bought an incline scratcher and that went over BIG! Then I noticed that she liked to lay on her back as though she was scratching it. So when I saw the Scratch and Nap, I took a chance on it.
Not only does she scratch the bottom and sides, but she basically hangs out in it all day and night. It also has the advantage of being lightweight, and when she plays she moves it all over the carpet. It has become part of her toy collection.
I groom her while she's in the cradle, and she loves it.
The only drawback is replacing the sides and bottom when they're completely torn up. Unlike the incline scratcher, there don't seem to be replacement parts.

Cats enjoy scratching at it and I can often find one of them sitting or laying in the "bed". Cardboard has held up very well considering that there are 4 cats that enjoy taking turns with it.

My cat is a Maine Coon male. He loves it but needs a bigger box. However, he doesn't seem to mine hanging over the edges.

a BIG hit at my house

I have one male cat who likes horizontal scratching posts. We have been using the emery scratcher, which he enjoys, but I hate the little pieces of cardboard that end up all over my floor. I thought I would try this as something new. He was so excited and would not stop scratching (even without catnip added). The next day he spent his morning perched inside of it. So far no crazy cardboard pieces, so this may be our new scratcher of choice. I only gave it 4 stars because the pattern of the design is not exactly pretty.
Pros: easy to assemble, sturdy, price
