I feed one of these to my dog every morning when she comes in from doing her business. She knows what the bag is and will sit pretty instantly! My vet recommended them and I'm pretty sure my JRT would recommend them to her fellow canines! Great price and product!

my dog doesnt always like them. I try and give him 1 of these a day to keep him busy for a few minutes but he won't always go for them. The first time I got them he devoured one in 15 minutes and then i tried to give him another the next day and he sniffed it and walked away...I left it on the floor hoping he would change his mind and later he did but he didn't eat as much and i have since tried to give him more and he usually won't touch them or will bark at me...o.O I don't know if he just doesn't like the smell or taste anymore but its disappointing because I think they are nice quality...

My Border Collie mix is mighty picky...though she does enjoy these. She is considered medium at 45 lbs so they are perfect in size. These "hearty bones" are bulky and last longer than most chews which I appreciate. Too often many of the "dental chews" for dogs are not effective (similar to what a twizzler would be for us humans). I am a dental hygienist and Moxie (my pup) has allowed me to scale the tarter off her teeth every few months. I like to trade off with other chews to give her some variety, but she has 2-3 of these a week. I find that they definitely help her overall oral hygiene and are a good buy. Although, I must comment that I'm disappointed Pet Smart raised the price $2.75 in less than one month. I'm afraid to come back next month!
