I had this in my cockatiel's cage for a while and he seemed to like it. The perch has uneven widths which is good for keeping birdie feet flexed. The smooth top also protects from irritation. You will still have to trim your birdie's nails, but regular use of this helps keep them down a bit.

i usually do not like these types of perches. But when I saw the brand on an online website, I thought these could really be great. They offer both a rough and smooth surface. If it was all rough, it could actually hurt their feet, and if it was all smooth it would be too slippery. It offers the best of both worlds.

My guys (budgies and cockatiel) love perching on and nibbling on their Sweet Feet and Beak(r) Safety Pumice Perches (we have 3 of the perches in the bird room).

It also comes in a range of different colors, which brightens up the cages and area.
