not for the toughest mats

Didn't do a thing for my portuguese water dog's toughest mats. Her fine curly undercoat mats daily. I felt like this product didn't get the hair slippery enough to loosen the tighter mats, and I was still ripping out hair rather than untangling it. I do like the almond fragrance and the mostly natural ingredients. Will try this as a maintainer, but keep looking for a heavy duty detangler.

I have a 2 yr female Yorkie (Silky) who mats and tangles very easily. This is the best product I've found and I've tried lots. Instantly takes out mats and tangles, even helps prevent further messes. Daily brushing is great after use. My little Yorkie doesn't wine anymore. It's also not sticky the next day after using it. I tried the shampoo also GREAT! Martha has got one great product!Oh sales clerk said that other customers were raveing about it, so I tried it.
