I have used Fiproguard since it first came on the market and am very happy with the results and value received for the price. It works best when it is applied properly to the skin and that can get tricky with un-cooperative cats. The cats have experienced no side effects, which is very reassuring to me. I will continue to use this product.

to the apparent appealing factors (said to be 'same formulation / key ingredient' as one of the top-sellers; and terrific price) of this product. Two consecutive years I have been suckered into buying Fiproguard! Cannot believe my memory did not serve me well...while the pricing IS attractive, particularly when you have multiple dear, beleaguered, feline friends...the ONLY thing that is 'the same' about this product is that I experienced the SAME, miserable, results as last year...zilch! In all fairness, approximately 15-20% of the flea population seem to be affected (as promised). While the loss of the $$ is painful, the worst circumstance is that my furry friends must endure 30 more days of torment, the 'wait period' between applications of this type of medication. Ultimately, the results are preferable to those from the use of HARTZ Ultra-Guard, which (indeed!) causes severe illness, often resulting in death. I will 'buck up', and head back for Advantage II or Revolution (which is not as 'size specific'). Meanwhile, I will dampen their coats with lemon water (rind on, thinly sliced lemon boiled 3 min in 2c water, sit overnite, put in spray bottle = 1x per week) AND continue to add a 1/4 teas apple cider vinegar to their food, or 1/2 teas to the water bowl(s).

I have four cats of various weighs and they were all heavily infested with fleas. I used another product which was twice the price on two of the cats and Fiproguard on the other two; the results were the same for all four cats. 24 hours after application I found dead fleas on my floors and my cats were flea free (save a single flea I found on one cat I applied with the Fiproguard). It felt good to see all four of my buddies resting comfortably, stretching their long legs and sleeping well. This product surprised me and in a very good way.

Used this product on my cats due to a flea problem. Didn't even kill the fleas that were already on my cat nor did it prevent them from coming.

I love this product but I believe like all things all animals do not react the same to treatments you will have to find what works for your animal. I tried the more expensive brand because I found it on sale on another website it did not work for my cats, this is what has worked the best for them. I put it on them and within in hours any fleas they have picked up from being on the outside porch are gone immediately.

We live out in the country and use flea and tick year round as a precaution. When this product was released as the generic product for Frontline I was happy. With as many cats and dogs as we have we needed something within our budget. I have had NOT one infestation while using this product, so it seems to work as well as frontline. NO ticks, no fleas, etc. I would say as long as you are not fighting an infestation and using as a routine product you should have no issues.

I tried this product because it had the same ingredients as Frontline, for a much better price. After one dose, I saw no change. I combed her out with a flea comb just to make sure the adult fleas were gone, and waited. Still no change. Waited a couple weeks thinking it needed time to kick in. Still no change. I gave her a bath with flea shampoo, combed her out again, and gave the house a thorough vacuuming. Out infestation just got worse. I'm going back to Advantage, even if it is more expensive.

Do not try to save $ with this for your cat. It did not work at all! My cat had a mild infestation after I let her frontline lapse, so in a hurry and on a low budget I chose this based on the reviews.I treated her and just to be extra careful treated/ cleaned my entire house for any eggs. My cat did not get rid of any fleas and I ended up spending more treating the condition. I will continue to use only what my vet has advised.

I was a little scared to buy this brand since it was much cheaper then the other brands. I applied the drops about 9:30 at night and then next morning around 5:30 I checked my cats with a flea comb only 3 fleas found. I was very impressed since my cats where covered in fleas.

We have a dog who is allergic to flea bites so when we discovered we had a flea problem, we treated her and both of our cats- all with Fiproguard. My husband and I were happy to find out that it worked just as well as the name brand and for nearly half the price! The only difference was a 1% difference in the active ingredient but we didn't notice any difference. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to treat for or would like a preventative. And in this economy, it's budget friendly!
