An excellent hood for the price.
Be advised that the screws holding the light shields will severely rust.
These are the transparent plastic pieces between the water and the light.

These are the transparent plastic pieces between the water and the light.
When I attempted to remove one of them to clean it because we have hard water, a small piece of the shield broke when I tried to take out the screw. As a matter of fact, the screws on both shields are severely rusted due to the fact that they are steel and not some other metal which can stand the splash of water.
Glad that PETSMART carries spare hoods, as I will replace the present one within days.

I have used many hoods for tanks in my life, and this is BY FAR the best. It provides an excellent performance, and illuminates my Top Fin 10 gallon perfectly. I am 100% satisfied with this product, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap hood for their fishtank! It is also amazing because it is very cheap compared to other hoods.
