I put this and several other plant mats in my live bearers tank and it was great, it ended up being a nice place for all of the baby platys and guppies to hide out from the bigger fish.

I got this for my divided Betta tank to help keep my girl and guy from seeing each other through the mesh. I first tied it to the mesh with thread but didn't like the way it looked with the thread so I then used flat marble like rocks and wedged it in one side to weigh it down and just leaned it on the mesh. Both ways it looked amazing and did what i wanted it to. After a recent death I had to get new gravel since I couldn't find a way to clean my sand. Now I have the patch laying on the ground with the base buried in the gravel and it looks just as great. My female - R.I.P. - was tiny so she LOVED to swim through it all day. My male is too big so he doesn't go in it but lays on top of it. Great buy would buy again!
