This product stands up to its 3,000 plus 5 star ratings. I was having trouble with our litter smelling from the basement to the stairway to sometimes throughout our air vents throughout our home. No matter what I tried nothing was working. We have a 1 year old cat and a 9 year old cat; and the 1 year old cat likes to use the litter box and run. She would get litter everywhere; and it would be stuck to her feet. The boxes would smell like pneumonia and urine all the time; and it was making it hard for me to clean the litter boxes even though I did them daily. Using this product has helped out tremendously; and I am so thankful for it. There is little to no smell now; and the dust is minimum. Thank you so much! Great job!

This is the only litter I will use. It clumps better than all the others and it lasts longer since it doesn't leave a lot of little "pieces". It also doesn't stick to the box and leave a mess if you keep it deep enough, which eliminates having to use liners. Saves me time and money. Best litter on the market!

I have literally refused to buy any other litter. Even the scented type has a light smell, isn't crazy overpowering like a cheap air freshener. And keeps the odor to a minimum. My cat was a stray who was never taught by her mother to bury her litter (I'm convinced) and this litter is perfect for her! I also recommend collecting the points on the box! they really do add up!

This is one of the better litters I've tried--it clumps well and does a good job controlling odor. The only downside is that my cats don't seem to like the scent.

Works well, no smell!

Works great, and if you really want to make things easy, use it with sifting cat pan liners. Carefully lift top liner from corners (don't shake liner; rather, shift it from side to side), let the clean litter sift through gently to next liner and you're done. I put in a good 3" so she doesn't tear the liners and it ensures good odor control. No odor ever and I don't even change the liner daily. Pour gently and you don't get so much dust. I tried the scented but it made me sneeze so back to unscented, which is fine.

Ever since my cats were little kittens I have been using Fresh Step for multi-cat. Every now and then I get curious and try a different litter but they always disappointed. I always come back! Trust me, I don't have to use an add in deodorizer because it controls odor SO well! People don't even know we have cats till they show themselves! No one can smell any odor! Personally I think it smells nice. My only complaint is the dust that sometimes flies up when you pour it a bit to fast. :p

I have 3 cats and 3 litter boxes and I am very sensitive to artificial odors, so when I opened the first box of FS I nearly gagged on the "fresh scent", and when I poured it into the box there was so much dust, I immediately vowed that this would be my last box of Fresh Step! HOWEVER, a few days later I realized I had not smelled kitty odors at all, even if I missed a cleaning! It really does work, but I had to convince myself by going back to my old favorite (a well-recognized national brand) and am I sorry! Every time I open my front door the first thing I notice is the litter smell, and I clean the boxes 2 and 3 times a day. And the FS lasted over a month and the other stuff is finished after 2 weeks, but I'm more than happy to trek to the store for more Fresh Step!

Abslolutely no smells

We also like so many of reviewers, have tried other brands. Now, when you walk into a room, there is absolutely no smell of litter boxes.
We have 4 cats, all inside, and you never detect l/b odor.
Like many, my only concern is the DUST. Even I get a little overwhelmed when cleaning....can't imagine being one of the cats trying to cover....(I wonder if that is why the "p and run" tactic is occuring)
Any suggestions to cut down the dust??

My 3 cats really seem to like this litter the best. I have tried lots. It clumps hard and smells good. I think the carbon is what makes separates it from the rest of the litters and makes it a better product.

I'm not sure how this product got so many rave reviews. For me, this litter was very difficult to clean up. The clumps that formed after my cat would urinate were so difficult to scoop. The litter would retain the moisture for so long that I had to change out the entire litter box every couple days. Otherwise, there would be chunks of mud-like clumps accumulating. It was very time consuming and just a huge pain in the neck.

I have tried many cat litters and this is the best I have found on controlling odor. We have 3 cats and they all seem to like it well enough. I line the litter box with a trash bag for easier clean up.

I have tried several cat litters and this is by far the best one I have found. When I have tried others in the past you can smell the litter box but with Fresh Step Clumping Litter I can't smell anything which is, to me, the most important factor when it comes to cat litter, don't want people walking into my house and smell cat urine, YUCK! Highly recommend =)
