Don't listen to dogfood "snobs", this is great!

I used to think dogs shouldn't eat any foods with corn, wheat, by-products, etc. I was highly vocal about that opinion too! After I had to switch jobs, though, I could not afford the super premium natural foods like Blue Buffalo and Orijen anymore, and ended up buying a bag of Pedigree. And guess what? My dogs are thriving! I do like to switch between brands often but my dogs now eat a mix of Iams, Pedigree, and Beneful, and I have had no problems. Small firm stools, glossy coats, lots of energy, and all clean bills of health from the vet. Some of the "natural" foods are not as well tested and the guaranteed analysis is not as good (meaning the levels of protein, fat, etc). Common ordinary housedogs do NOT need the levels of protein you find in the so-called "super premium" foods! I now believe you should feed whatever works for your dog, and in my case, Pedigree is working just fine. My terrier mix lived to be 18 on a mix of Pedigree and other cheaper brands.
