I buried these in my gravel and the next morning my water was brown and smelly. I will never buy again. I wasted 10$ on this and it didnt do anything but make "tea" out if my water

My lighting is not the best so I use these and liquid ferts to keep it going. This stuff works great! The poster below me likely just dropped the tab in the tank and walked away. You have to press these into the soil and not mess with them and they will not do anything to your water quality.
These are pretty expensive but they do work in my experience.

Very easy to use product that definitely benefits root feeding plants like swords and lotus. Wouldn't do much for water column feeders such as Java fern, hornwort, or other floating plants. Make sure the tab is completely covered by substrate or it may cause some cloudiness.

I got this product for my java fern. It mad the water really cloudy, dirty, and smelly. It's also cost way to much for ten lil tabs. :-(
