I have a large, old dog with dark, thick nails. The indicator does not work at all, it will stay green or red and not change when I try to use it. Taking it back. The clipper works fine, but why pay extra for a sensor that doesn't work?

Bought this because my german shepherd's quick is very difficult to see and I was constantly quicking him. The indicator does NOT work. I also tried it on my border collie and it didn't work with her, either.
The light would go from red to green, then back to red and I wouldn't be moving it at all. Useless, really.
Cons: expensive

I purchased this for my Great Dane to possibly make it easier to clip her hind legs. The indicator doesnt seem to work as designed since i did get one of nail quicks. After that, she wont let me near her with these nail clippers. I should have just bought the version without and indicator and just clipped a little off at a time.
Cons: expensive
