Great cage for the money

We bought this cage for our two lovebirds and found it to be roomy without having to be 24" tall. They have a house with eggs and plenty of room to sit at the top. We love the fact that the grate slides out with the tray for ease of cleaning. Sturdy metal on bottom rather than plastic which in the past breaks easily. More cages need to have the grate slide out for cleaning instead of taking the cages apart.

We bought this bird cage in-store, before reading any reviews online and we are very pleased with it. We keep our bird in our bedroom on an antique dresser and yes, once you slide the bottom tray out there is nothing underneath but that has honestly never been an issue for us. There is a metal grate and the bars on it are as close or closer together than the cage bars and that and the bottom pan slide independently of one another and both are very secure. I especially like that it came with pieces to put around the cage to minimize seed throwing. The door on our cage closes very securely and our bird is very calm so I can't comment on how well the cage door holds up to a clever escape artist but I honestly have no complaints about this cage, it's AWESOME!

This is the easiest cage that I own in terms of cleaning. The bottom and the grill both slide out so that I can clean it thoroughly. Sure there's no bottom when you're cleaning the cage but that doesn't matter to me. Overall it's a nice cage and I would recommend. Also, I did get a bird bath in here, it's one that clamps onto the side of the cage.

Pros: easy to clean, sturdy, price

We have had this cage for over a year now, and to be honest it is THE WORST design ever! I wish I had thought about a few things BEFORE we spent the $ on it!
There is NO bottom to this cage AT ALL! So if you decide to hang it up, KNOW that the tray that slides out is what serves as the bottom! Also we have a mated pair of finches in this and the design of the "access" door is terrible!!!! I literally have to keep a towel draped over the cage so I have no accidental escapes. Birds in general, LOVE to bathe... we had to jimmy rig a bath to fit the opening where one of the food dishes was, eliminating one of them because there is no other "door" to the cage besides the food openings and one master door..... Not to mention the bottom has completely rusted from the water dish tilting forward...because the only thing that holds it in place is a plastic rectangle piece that fits on the outside of the cage! All in all.... This cage is a complete WASTE of money ... do yourself a favor and look at other ones!

There is no bottom to this cage, once you slide the tray out, you had better have it on solid ground, it gets the mess inside the cage all over the place. I have since moved my female to one of my male birds cages. Therefore I don't have to clean this cage and the birds get along just fine. I would not recommend this cage to anyone, It is a nice cage otherwise. Just wish it had a bottom.

Cons: difficult to clean
