I bought these for my syrian hamster, Ghillie. I put the purple one in her cage. I was doubtful that she was even touching it, but one day I caught her licking and chewing it, so it much work. :)

My Dwarf Hamsters Love This Item. I have Two (Mouse and Cupcake) And they're always chewing on it! They seem to enjoy it and it keeps their teeth trim!

When I first got my rats years ago, I bought a package of these, thinking they would need/like them. Here it is, 5-6 years later, and I am still stuck with them. I replace the wooden chew blocks on my Kabob every so many months, but the salt wheels are always still there. And it doesnt look like they have ever even touched them. I finally just threw them away last cleaning, actually.

I also noticed that if you feed your rats a variety of foods, instead of just one brand's prepackaged meal, they get enough minerals and salt to hold them over anyway. I give my rats a mixture of many different foods, which include dried fruits, nuts and yogurt bites on a regular basis.

I would never recommend that anyone buys these. If you're worried about your small animals getting the minerals they need, spend the extra money and just get them a few different things when you buy them food. Also, giving them small amounts of table scraps and fresh foods are great too.

Welll i know these are suppose to be good for your guinea pigs and stuff but she doesnt like it she never even tries to really lick it or anything it may just be the one flavor i havent gave her the other flavors yet.

Pros: price, high quality ingredients
