i use this perch to give my canaries a landing in front of the outside of their front doors during daytime free flight, then at night they can be put away so cage covers lay flat. there's lots of uses. i love'm but...
the downsides are the wood dowel falls off easy n has to be held on with dulled zip ties (i melt sharp edges of tie with match) or a slit hose that fits around the dowel. (but vinyl(pvc)) should not be chewed or slept on).
...and there are no replacement dowels available. i'm acquiring a bunch of chrome skeletons after dowel wares out.
