Durable...but not the best quality

The chain is too thin, and when I go to grab my dog's collar, the chain is so thin that it digs into my hand if my dog starts pulling. The color of the collar fades within a matter of days, which makes it unattractive. It is durable (if you like a collar that looks very faded at washed out). This is good for dogs who pull, but a regular slip chain works better. Do not try to grab the chain on the collar to hold your dog as it will hurt your hand because the chain is incredibly thin. I purchase one of these martingale collars from another pet store and my dog wore it for three years...the color did not fade at all, and the chain was much thicker. The adjustable buckle was plastic though, and it broke after three years. The adjustable buckle on this collar is metal, so it lasts.

I have purchased several of these collars and the color of the collars have faded literally within days. The colors go from vibrant to very washed out within a matter of days and normal outdoor wear. The chain is VERY thin so I am not able to hold onto it by hand. There are other brands (I have not found any at PetSmart though) with a much thicker chain, which makes it a lot easier to hold your dog if you don't have a leash on him/her at the time. It helps with the pulling but certainly does not stop the pulling. A choke chain works much better.

Pros: durable, comfortable

Amazing, but hard to put on.

This collar is amazing! It made my dog stop pulling in directions! He's more behaved than never before. I would suggest to never buy a harness. My dog bites and tries to shake it off. But, this collar is so hard to take out of his neck and put it in.. Sometimes it hurts him. I will never regret getting this.

no 14"-17" size

My main complaint with this collar is it only comes in two sizes which have a 3" gap between them. The small goes up to 14" and the smallest the large can be is 17". What about dogs that wear 14"-17" (many medium- large dogs)? The small collar just fits my dog when it is at the biggest and doesnt have enough chain to correct a dog her size (d rings should have 2 finger spaces between them when the dog is pulling, due to the short amount of chain this is not possible on a dog with a 14" neck), the large is too big. The quality of the collar is good the small one is strong enough to hold my 40lbs dog. If one of the two sizes fits your dog properly then you will be happy with this collar, if you have a medium-large dog it wont fit properly and you might as well put a regular collar on them.

I bought one for my 5 year old Papillon, Ellie. She seems to like it and it fits her nicely. It's tight enough to keep her from slipping out of it, but it's not so tight that chokes her. The collar is durable and is easier and quicker to slip over her head as opposed to trying to find the D-ring on a regular nylon collar to clip the leash on. Would definitely recommend.

I just bought this for her today and she respond much better when she pulls on the leash. It also matches her fur nicely. The only problem is its just a tiny bit loose, but no worries.

This works better for my dog to not to pull too much. Grinding sound of metal helps train my dog as well. Although, it slides down to his shoulder so often that i had to make sure it stays right under his jaw, or keep the leash vertically all the time. It takes time to put it on since this collar needs to tightly slide though the dogs head to ware it. I would recommend this collar over using body harness for training. Otherwise dog never learn not to pull.

Cons: not adjustable
