I needed to change my Affenpinschers to a lower fat food about a year ago, when our vet said they should weigh between 9-12 pounds each. At the time, one weighed 12 pounds and the other was approaching 14 pounds. Since the smaller of the two dogs would ideally weigh 8-9 pounds and the larger one would be best at 11-12 pounds, a change in diet was needed.
The Innova Lower Fat Canned Dog Food not only helped my dogs lose weight, they loved it. It contains all the nutrients of the regular Innova canned foods, and provided lower KCals.
My dogs are now both at the weight they should be, and it was painless. I highly recommend this food to anyone who has an overweight dog. It works, and I have continued them on it even now that they are at their ideal weight.
