I purchased this dish for our senior dog who has hip issues. It's the perfect height and he doesn't slide away from his dish. He seems much more comfortable while eating and drinking. Not to mention, our short pups can't reach his dish and steal food anymore. A bit pricey but I think quite worth it in the long run.

At first, it was quite annoying as the dish kept hitting the side of the plastic insert when our dog was eating. Made a terrible racket as the bowl does not fit snug in the hole. I simply purchased some clear rubber stoppers and placed 4 of them along the rim of the hole. Worked like a charm and no more annoying 'clinking' noises.

I would like to see some sort of anti-slip device/material on the bottom of the feeder to help even more. We have ours up against the back of the couch to prevent slippage.

I would definitely recommend this product
