I didn't realize I was ordering the pate when I ordered these. I have a few cats, and some of them do not like pate. BUT...the ones who do, they really liked this. There wasn't must gravy, which all of my cats love!

This food (pate only) is low in carbs which is what cats who have mega-colon or diabetes need most. They are actually much lower than the prescription brands, and much easier on the pocketbook. Plus, the cats will actually eat them...LOL

I have fed these pates for years, but usually only to give meds. Recently, one of our cats was diagnosed with dilated colon. It was recommended we put him on a wet food diet that was low carbohydrate. I was extremely pleased to learn that these pates are almost all low carb...even lower than (most) prescription brands. Our boy is doing very well, and the other cats are enjoying a bite of anything he leaves...lol

We have been feeding our cats friskies pate (their preferred recipe) for over 25 years. All of our cats have lived for many years - currently we have an eleven year old two 8 year olds and a NINETEEN year old, our last two to leave us lived to 17 and 20 years. I'd say this food has served them well. Of course, we see the vet annually for check ups and vaccinations as appropriate.

Pet Satisfaction
My male cat named Ralphie (Ralph) loves this food. He eats his food in the garage because he's an outdoor cat. So every morning he would wait in the garage waiting to be fed. It's good to give your cat half the can so they don't eat too much. Ralph have been having this kind of food for years and he still loves it. I am going to recommend this cat food to any cat owners.
Pros: healty food for your cat, most cats love it!
